I've actually decided to stay here for a year to save up. But I need to get out of my mom's house. I've been staying with her for almost four months now and it's driving me crazy. So hopefully within the next week I'll be looking at places near where I hope to work (for the time being, at least) to move.

I'd like to think that I can work from anywhere? I have enough experience in the fashion industry and interning. Even though I don't have a degree (fashion school is a nightmare ), I hope that my experience and knowledge can make up for it.

I was looking through the first earliest pages of this OT place and am amazed back in 2004, people could just create threads and some of them I wished I could respond to the questions 15 years too late or so! and so many threads I don't know how you all created so many different titles

I want to get into styling, and that's what my business card says.

And honestly, people here kind of suck at dressing themselves. I was actually talking to a woman from an awesome high-end vintage clothes store in Scottsdale before I moved here about it and she gave me her card and everything. I ended up buying something from the store, but we just stayed and talked for like two hours about fashion after. It's so rare to find something like that, especially around here. So I might go back and see her and see what she suggests. I'm still pretty new at this.

I was around back then! It's crazy to even think about.

Hi Claire I like hearing about your "boring" life in England. It sounds like a life I'd like, living in England having a home, a husband and kids. I have no idea of what it's like... overall must be nice! Mine is even boring-er. Me and my cat during summer, inside, reading and watching tv. Could be worse

Yes, well I didn't end up getting my pool filter despite my intentions. Was starting meltdowns again that I couldn't go out to a store, so I just ended up skimming the top of my pool and got some bugs out and damaged a spider and it's web that I wasn't expecting... and found out I'm pretty vocal with my disgust over the dead insects I was collecting now, I am ready to go the store tomorrow, get the cartridge hopefully and replace, it and I can once again go swimming. Feels like it's been a while since the air quality went bad to be hanging outdoors.

Well if the stores were shut you couldn't do much else. Glad you did manage to clean it as much as you did though.

I really need to get dressed to go shopping. I'm being so lazy, lately!

Man, I'd love to be in England again. I thought my life was so simple then.

Oh, definitely! A lot of people think they don't dress well, but they actually do, so you never know.

That sounds horrible.

I have a pool here but my body isn't used to the weather, not to mention I get dehydrated extremely easily, so I'll only go into my pool after the sun sets. And even worse, my swimsuits are still packed away in one of the many boxes in the spare bedrooms since I moved in, so I've just been swimming in undies and a sports bra.

Clothes are overrated. PJs all the way!

Mal, I go in when the sun is mostly down cause if not, I'd be in the direct sunlight and burn into a lobster. I have one tankini and the top is too tight but I put up with it cause I hate bathing suit shopping

I have to remember to call my doctor about this lump under my shoulder thats making my arm ache more and more. I keep visualizing it emerging out from under my skin like an alien cause that's what it feel like, pressure to erupt... but I don't want to get cut with a knife either to do whatever they do to fix weird lumps I hate medical stuff, but now s the time to have her look at it so I don't need any time off work for appointments.
