Comedians

Who's your favorite? Other than well-known comedic actors, such as Jim Carrey, I mean. They go without saying

I think George Carlin has got to be the best. Don't even need to say it.

Aside from him, I would probably have to say Stephen Lynch (singer/comedian) is my favorite. I've been a fan of his stuff for a couple years now. Even when I'm totally disgusted and offended I still can't help but laugh at his stupid songs He's pretty hot, too.

Dana Gould would be a close 2nd. I have his Funhouse CD and I've listened to it so many times I could recite it line-for-line

Other faves:
Kevin James
Brian Regan

George Carlin is a good choice but because of society and being in the mainstream as he now seems to be he's not nearly as funny as he used to be. He will never be as funny as he was on "Class Clown" for instance. Richard Pryor was always a fave of mine. Used to sit around with friends with a bit of a buzz on laughing our @sses off at his early stuff as well. Genius.

Oh, but I do like Chris Rock too. I like him hosting and doing comedy bits more than acting in movies though.

Dawn French
Simon Pegg
Jasper Carret
edited to add Spike Milligan!

I like the older comedians the best, I guess, as I used to listen to them with my father, happy memories. Infact it was the only thing we did together

Has anyone been to Carolines in NYC? My friend Steve seems to always be performing there, so try and check him out!
