Things You Miss From Your Childhood
I was just remembering all the little things from when I was a kid ... Wah!
I thought people might like to share some of theirs... For me, it's things like: -The ball cages at McDonald's. My sisters and I spent hours there while my dad sat there reading a book -The first bike I ever had, with white and purple tassles on the handles. I resisted for far too long about taking the training wheels off, and could never get the hang of it! -My Little Mermaid fish tank... I had 3 goldfish. One day I put a black fish in the tank, and it turned everything (including the other fish) completely black Apparantly it was an inky fish.. -My "Puffalump" .. It was a stuffed animal I was given as a baby. I don't know what the hell it is, but that's what we called it! It sort of resembled an elephant and a pig..Hmm. -My Simon-Sez game, which I was much better at than my sisters -The collection of "misfit" Barbies we shared (like, the ones whose hair we dyed with Kool-Aid, or completely cut off, or switched the arms and legs with, etc.) OK....I have to go cry now! |

Awww
Well I miss a lot of things. New York City - I grew up there and it is kinda what I was used to as a child and a place that I loved. We'd go on the Ferry every day and ride our bmx bikes to central park and get told off by venders for stealing magazines or chewing gum, going past the firehouses and the firefighters would give us treats and tell us stroies. Being able to play with my guy friends - Like climbing trees when we went on Summer vacation to Oregon and getting dirty and swimming in the lake and ocean and camping out. Now I can't do that stuff without A. being called a freak, or B. Being accused of sleeping with my male friends. My Ghostbusters toys My twin brother and I had it all the firehouse, the car, the figures and the backpack and the toy guns. We used to play with those toys like every single day (Yes I was a tomboy) My father - Till I was 14 I lived with My Dad and he was a big part of my childhood. He was the reason I am strong and the woman I am today. He used to sit down with a cigar every evening about 6pm after dinner which grandma cooked and he'd tell us a story - From Vietnam or stories from his childhood about him running wild around the city or about his father. It was good times. My Dog called Slimer. He was a little long haired Jack russel (I think that is right?) We had him from when I was 4 till I was 13 and he was the best dog ever. I used to love him so much. He died when my brother lost hold of the lead and he ran out front of a cab __________________

Having my brother and dad in the sam house as me, my sister and my mum.
My cat running around bare feet in the street and not having to worry about stepping on needles etc... Walking to the corner deli to buy a freezer icepole on hot summer nights... being stress frewe. Thinking 20c was more money than I knew how to spend |

I miss the best friend I had back then, my old toys, going to my grandparents every Saturday, going to the lake and the park every summer evening and then going to Dairy Queen for ice cream, going to play at my cousin's house.

- my dog Fuzzy and my cat Jinglebells
- my Grandma, she was so much a part of my life growing up. I miss her a lot. She lived next door to us and I saw her everyday. My cousin and I were so close, my mother's sister's family & us were so close back then. - going on vacations to Six Flags and Walt Disney World - goofing off with my Dad - all my friends from school - having no worries - birthday party sleepovers, popping popcorn and watching movies - playing with Barbies. Everything was a soap opera drama. - Girl Scouts - trick or treating - weekly trips out to eat with the family - running around and playing kickball, softball, hide & seek - church events - the joy of Christmas back when Santa Claus still "existed" many more.. __________________

-- The general feeling of being young, with no care for tomorrow...
-- Family dinner with complete attendance of every member... -- Games only kids are allowed to play...coz if I do it now, I would really look stupid... -- No knowledge of sex and everything that is related to it...although sex is way too good to... -- Children's party... -- I could eat anything I want and still not gain weight... -- Just about everything...from my childhood... __________________
