I just saw an Asteroid!!
Hey everyone... Om Foo!
I got woken up at about 6:30pm, New Zealand time, and rushed outside to see a huge asteroid flying across the sky. It was a typical shape, the kind of thing you see in the movies, with the little ball and tail, all hot orange. It passed across us, and headed south, so who knows where it's going? The thing I find strange is that there has been no notification at all, on the news or in the papers. Has anyone heard anything anywhere? Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know, it was so amazing, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world, I just wish that we could have got it on camera. Tahra __________________

That's pretty cool. Just be glad it wasn't like "Deep Impact."

Well, it was an Asteroid actually!
Apparently it came from Mars, and it's going to pass through like South America or whatever, and then go back to Mars, or something like that. So yea, no Deep Impact/ Asteroid/ Armeggedon today! Tahra __________________

No I wasn't drunk. It was at 6:30 this morning... It's not only 8:34am... I live in New Zealand.
Yea, it was soo cool! My mum dragged me out bed, and we raced out side and watched it till we couldn't see it anymore. It was at least 4 times the size of a space shuttle, and it was travelling sout-sout-east direction, and was visible for at least ten minutes. It was clearly visible from the ground, without optical aid, and was so totally awesome. Tahra __________________

It so was. A once in a lifetime opportunity. Wish I could do a Tru Calling, and wind back time so I could rewatch it.
Actually, rewind it back to tomorrow so I could get the video camera ready and get it on tape. Mum was so bummed when she grabbed the video camera and found that there was no battery. My little bro was as well. The rest of us just stood there gawking! Tahra __________________

It's already named... Leonard or something.
The person who discovers it first is allowed to name it, and authorities would have known about this for at least a week, if not longer. Tahra __________________

No I know... I totally prefer 'Asteroid Tahra'! I wish. But seeing as I wasn't even the first person to spot it, it's completely out of the question!

Yup. Sounds like NZ, possibly Australia, and South America will be the only ones to see it before it heads back to Mars.
Mum dragged me outa bed coz it's such a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I mean, how often do you actually get to see Asteroids and stuff? I wonder if anyone else from FF/NZ saw it? Tahra __________________
