ok, so there's a thread for your favorite video. it's pretty much just a list of what you like. so i though, what about a thread for discussing the videos. what you liked, what you didn't like. We can do one video at a time or just do them all at once...

I just wanted to start off with Everybody's Fool because it's the newest one. What do you think about it? What was your first impression?

I really liked it. I liked how it was basically a satire for the 'Real World'. It was thought-provoking and eerie like all their other videos too.

I really like the video for Everybody’s Fool, there is a kind of frivolity in the video that some of their songs don’t have, like the weren’t taking it very seriously.

Hmmm, my favourite video is "Everybody's Fool''. I don't know why. It's very wise, because it shows dark parts of being a music star.

I seem to be the only person here who doesn't like the video for Everybody's Fool.
I can't like the video because it goes against my idea of the song. I always loved the song and kinda related it to my personal experience about an ex-boyfriend. And the video isn't even close to that. It's like what made me love the song is gone from the video.

I also don't like that part where Amy's in the elevator and the blond girls ask her if she's who they think she is. The song almost stops there. Gosh! I love the song, I don't want it to stop.

I think you can interpert the song in a lot of ways, and I think the way they did the video captured one aspect of the song. Yeah, I can relate the song to personal experiences, but I don't think they wanted to do that for the video. To me, the song (according to the video) is about someone to wanted to be a star and they were manipulated and in the end didn't really get what they wanted at all. Does that make sense?

I also saw the song in the same light as you, but I was amused by the satire nature of the video and clever way in which they filmed it.

Yes. I think that's what the video shows. It makes sense and maybe it could have been done in a way I could like. But I still can't like it.
And I love the song a lot. It's one of my favourites.

my absolute fave video would have to be Everybody's fool!!!! i don;t really like the song so much but the way that they made the video made it my favorite video

Everybody's Fool and My Immortal, are my two favorite, My Immortal has such beautiful footage. I think Everybody's Fool was about a girl who wanted to be in the limelight, and when she got it, it wasn't worth it. Everyone saw her for who she wasn't, and that tore her apart.
