Thats a deep battle within one self, but a truly spectacular poem Laz

I'm going to write one, since it's been so long:

My Sorrow confides in me,
"Why art thou lingering next to thee?
For I am the darkness among the light,
and thy light slowly grows weak."
With my response I leap!
For even the misery grows weary of me,
"You dare to ask this question to me?
Oh Sorrow, you truly are low"
Sorrow sighs heavily, as thee,
slowly infests the remains of me,
and as he had said, my light grows dim,
for without my light, how can I burn?

Yeah, it could be better I suppose, but I'm too tired to fix it up.

Yeah, it could be better I suppose, but I'm too tired to fix it up.

If it is not broke...never try to fix it and, it is not broke Jack! It is from the heart with some olde English thrown in...very courageous my friend!

I think it could have been more consistent though, and I used "me" to much.

Just a personal taste, Jack! i happen to like poems that are not overworked because i get a deeper emotional feeling from the words; a better feel for what is being said.

Time for another resurrection I guess!

Hate Begins

I retrace my footsteps each day
Into the lion's den I fear
My countenance cold
No hand to hold
To no other do I endear
Nor crack this icy mask
My true demeanor to lay bare
The quest for one real person to look my way
Seeking not to drain my eyes of tears
Not to set torment or mockery
Upon my burdened brow
Just to cherish an unbiased phrase
One to rest a sympathetic hand to flesh
Release my inhibitions; loose my trust
To the one I would allow
My dreams to unfold.
Fantasy is folly
Life unravels before me
A sea of anathematic malevolence
To be different is to be spurned
Left alone in the rain to rust
By those I should call
Brothers
Sister
Malice rises swiftly
A ripened blister about to burst
Purulent despair flowing smothers
All my hope of melding
Peace to be won but only tension waits
All I have left...
...hate.

I havent heard much of Will Smiths songs except MIB and Miami, guess then its missing a few verses about chics and stuff
