I sometimes hated the direction their storylines went in.

Well besides the S2 and 5 stuff another example was I hated the direction they went in in S4 with them struggling to pay the bills. Another organic storyline that could have really focused on them only for them to jump straight to point shaving and gambling and etc. I mean them ending up there wouldn't have bothered me as much if more time had been focused on their struggles and them dealing with it.

I would have preferred Nathan getting an job and both parties juggling finishing HS on top with the pregnancy.

Yeah even tho I don't think we have see both working, but I wouldn't say it's a job for Haley as tutor in school..

There was so much they could have done but the writers never seemed to want to do those.

They didn't want to take the characters out of the same old tropes really.
