Has anyone heard any of her new songs, yet? How are they?

They played "Call of the Wild", then did a brief interview with Joy, and then played "Belong To Me."

I really like the songs. They're totally different...very much a dance pop/electro-pop vibe, which I guess is kind of the trend nowadays. I'm much more of a fan of her older stuff, but I get that her sound is evolving constantly.

All three songs are great. I think stylistically, "Call of the Wild" is definitely very different from what she's done previously. Probably a credit to working with Dru DeCaro. But I think "Start It Up" is probably my favorite out of the three. She kind of has the same lyrics as what was in her poem that she posted on her blog a couple of years back from "Reappearing Act."

She mentioned doing some gigs in LA/NYC in 2015...but knowing Joy...and how long things take...who knows.

Sadly no I found out about it too late. But I plan on buying the songs when they're released (should be tomorrow, right?) so I'm trying not to be that bummed.

Those descriptions sound really awesome, though! I'm also a bigger fan of her older stuff (still waiting for studio versions of John & Junior and Safe ), but I usually adore anything she releases, the songs on her Your Woman CD last year were nothing short of amazing.

I'm just so grateful to finally be getting some new Joy stuff, first her Christmas movie, now new music - it's felt like a dry few months!

I missed the radio interview, but I think I read that the new songs will be on Itunes soon. I can't wait to hear them

What interview? I guess that I didn't know about that..

I think that the songs on iTunes by now since I remember that they said it will be release today.. So I couldn't find it on iTunes since not sure the name of the album would be?

The album is called Get Back To Gold according to her Twitter account. It hasn't been released yet. I didn't get a chance to listen to the podcast either because I was working.

Ahh thank you.. It seems that they still haven't it up on iTunes which that's mean they are still working on it before they want to make sure that everyone have those before Christmas..

I like the new songs. They're very different from her usual sound but definitely enjoyable. I didn't hear the interview, but it seems like she's looking to do some shows in LA and NY next year. I am hoping that this gets organized well and actually comes to fruition because there are a lot of people who have been waiting for new music from her, especially live music.

I'm hoping this means a full album is coming soon too? Sometimes I wonder if she should just try to get signed to a label, so that her music could get marketed and well promoted. It seems like she likes being an independent artist, but being on a label would remove the onus of promotion from her. But I'm not sure if she plans to do just continue working on the music as kind of like a side project, in concert with any acting projects that potentially spark her interest.

So now she's going by just Joy? I have SO many different names for her music under my itunes, Bethany Joy Lenz, Bethany Joy Galeotti, Bette, Everly, etc, . I need to get around to changing them all to one name.

Soo confusing. Hahaha. But I think she might be. During the interview, the interviewer addressed her as Bethany, and Joy said, please call me Joy all of my friends do.

And YES to John & Junior and Safe. Though, I think she's probably forgotten all about Safe. Lol. She gave the lyrics that night to a fan. Joy's sound is constantly evolving, but really hope John & Junior gets recorded at some point. It's one of my all-time favs.
