Its when i first stumbled upon the greatness that was Joy! And I agree when Joy left Gl i was devastated and i really couldnt get into the new michelle either.

I thought BJL was the best Michelle because she was fiesty as well as nice and caring, and she has a warmth and vulnerability that shows through, however, she didn't come across as weak just because she could be kind. Sadly, a lot of nice soap characters are written as complete doormats.

I also liked the slow build up the writers gave Manny. Michelle didn't just fall out of love with Jesse one day, and decide Danny was the love of her life the next. Michelle was actually shown as going from being afraid of Danny to realizing how wonderful he was to her, and how much he cared about her. I love the scene when they show up at Carmen's, reveal they are married, then Jesse and Drew show up just adding to the problems, and Michelle and Danny are doing everything they can to get Jesse and Drew out of there.

It was also nice to see Michelle over time begin to defend and stick up for Danny the way he did for her.

I write my own ending for when BJL left the show. When they both show up at Laurel Falls, Michelle tells Danny she is pregnant, and they leave town together.

I love her as Michelle too. Joy is just a good actress that gave Michelle so many layers and I love subtlety. It also helps that she and PAS share an amazing chemistry.

I'm glad you shared. I think you are exactly right about Joie's Michelle. She was strong and kind with a lot of emotional and character growth.

They did have great chemistry. Was it PAS' decision to always having Danny touching Michelle? I thought it was interesting that BJL slowly started to do the same thing. Then once Danny and Michelle became a real couple, they were always so affectionate with each other.

I love the scene where they wind up with adjoining jail cells, and move the beds so they are next to each other. Then the next day Danny doesn't want to leave, he wants to stay in the jail cell next to Michelle.

Yes, the Tactile Twosome were wonderful. I love it when they touch each other.

aww, manny on dvd! totally something worth having imo. i'm grateful that another one of my ships (jolie from oltl) has there whole story on a site to dl and watch. cause let's face it, soaps are a dying entity and it's crushing my ever loving heart having to watch gh. i hate that sht. Glad to hear that even I would love to see all of her episodes on DVD, so I can watch it.. But hopefully that will happen in later on.. Cross the fingers..
