And, this title? It speaks truths, for sure. For sure. Haley is not to be messed with. She continues to show that. LOL.

I hope that this episode makes it six for six in regards to more awesomeness and balance on the Haley front!

I LOVED the smilie/metaphor scene tonight. Hales still got that teacher/tutor-ness inside her, even if it might be suppressed at the moment. Srsly Hales, BAM. She was all over that. And I loved that short scene with Clay she had afterwards. When Joy's voice cracked when Haley was telling Clay how dark it got the first time. GAH. Joy is amazing. The little things she does when she's acting really make such a difference. <3

I'll comment more tomorrow, but! I absolutely loved the simile/metaphor moment. Loved. It's just so... It's so quintessential Haley. I cannot express enough gratitude for the fact that seven years later, this character at it's core is still so much of who she was when we first met her and fell in love with her. The character has grown, matured, etc. But, some of those fundamental things? Her snark, her quirkiness, her tutor girl ways, etc? Yeah, yeah, that stuff has stuck. LOVE.

The range of emotion Joy played tonight? And played masterfully. Gah. Breathtaking. Yes, about the voice crack! The glassy eyes she was rocking, the facial expressions, the... Every little thing she does... A-MAZING.

OHHHH the Damien West fight. That one slipped my mind. Yes, she was so fierce, protecting Nathan. "You did that on purpose!" LMFAO.

GAH I love that. I really do. Because there's a lot of other shows when the seasons go on and the characters grow and change, and they lose their personality they had back in the early days. But not Haley, nah. She grew and changed, but deep down she's still that same person we met back n the Pilot. Smart, funny, snarky, fierce, beautiful. Nothing will ever change that.

Absolutely. I love seeing glimpses of the old Haley we first knew and still love and seeing her come through in certain scenes warms my heart. It just reminds me all of all the great qualities she has a person and how she doesn't stand down to unfairness and people who try to use others. The Damien thing is one of my fave examples of that!

Ahh, last night was the perfect example of why I adore her so.Even through the high intensity situation NH are facing, she's still the Tutorgirl to her very core. I loved it. We got to see so many sides to her last night.The fear, small bit of irrational behavior,the inner battle, belief in her marriage(Nathan), she displayed it all so flawlessly. I love all the layers being given to her to play. Of course Joy knocks it out of the park.

I think it also helps to see her being given a voice for once. I've noticed some tended to jump on her(unfairly) for some things in the past because she's never been given a outlet for some to understand her perspective on things, only Haley fans had a great understanding of her(character) completely even with the lack of acknowledgement to her feelings. It's great that all viewers can see some insight into Haley's thought process. She's always thinking of her family, and yes paying the liar would be bad, she was thinking of fixing something for Nathan, their family, nothing wrong in that.

Those caps you've posted Jess, just show how much the girl is a fighter, she's going to stand her ground!

We might not have got as much Haley as the past few episodes, but what we did get was proof of why this girl continues to own.

This. I think the simile/metaphor line was my fave line of hers, just Joy's whole delivery. And the way Nathan and Clay looked at her, as if to say "Really?", gold! Totally just reaffirming what you said Shanna, you can't take the teacher/tutor out of her, no matter what or how long it's been.

I love this about her character, she's got so many layers to her personality, and she's going to grow and mature, but she's still got the same heart, and she's always going to be true to herself and what she thinks is right.

She's that protective, she would do anything for her family, to make the bad things go away and I think that's such an integral part of who she is.

Yessss, how she just said it out of the blue. It wasn't planned and she didn't even think about it really, it just, came out. And they were all "What the?!" Like they are talking about Nathan's career and Haley is correcting his grammer. Oh Hales <3

That scene actually reminds me of the one where Nathan first asks Haley to tutor him, and she's correcting his grammer. Once a tutor, always a tutor. LOL

I love it when she was correct him even they gave her the look like huh? then she was explain it..

It was funny even they wasn't in mood.. I'm glad that she doesn't change who she is from the beginning...
