Love the caps. I also recall reading that Joy had done some research into being a teacher when she found out that Haley would be teaching. It showed because Joy did great in those scenes. I was sad though that there wasn't more of Haley in the classroom after the initial eps.

The second cap is also one of my favourite scenes for Haley/Joy. I cried for Haley and NH in that scene. They do the angst so well, and it was for an organic reason. I wish they had stuck to focusing on that instead of the contrived Nanny mess that followed.

Aww, I love the caps, Li. I really loved Haley as teacher and that they showed her kind of struggle with it all at first. It seemed like such a great profession that was something that fit Haley so well.

I can see why that would be one of Joy's favourite scenes. As much as that storyline was painful to watch, I think it gave Joy so much to do in such a short amount of time. That moment really showed Haley at her breaking point and was such an emotionally charged scene. I've always wished that storyline, the comeback from that ad continued in a different direction then they ended up going.

I just wrote up a long reply and it did not post, now I'm trying to remember what I said

I love that scene from 5.02, and I love the way Joy talks about it in her CW Source interview. It was such an emotional scene and the way Joy acted it was perfect, she just let it go. It was so great to see Haley finally let it all out, just pour out all of the anger, pain, and frustration from the four months before that. It was such a necessary scene to see that breakdown, and it was amazing.

So I'm watching SoapNet and 5.10 is on, when Haley asks for a divorce, and DUDE I forgot how much Joy kills that scene. From falling into Nathan's arms because she's so tired from the day and then into the fighting. GAH she makes me cry, and I already know what happens. Why is she so goooddd?!

She was amazing in that scene, actually both the JLs did a brilliant job conveying both Nathan & Haley's anguish. Even though I didn't like the Nanny mess, I loved this scene because the JLs do the angst so well.

Random note: the song fit the scene so well

You know while I was posting these caps and thinking of the scene, I started to tear up, that's how much NH's scenes can affect, the JLs are just that good.

I agree Jess, they were both amazing in 5x10. But the way that Joy played Haley's exhaustion, you could really feel it. That really fits with the scene. Just thinking about how amazing she was.

I know I sound like a broken record, but Haley is such a great character with endless possibilities, it would be so sad/disapointing if we had to go through another season without seeing more for her

That scene is so sad, but it's one of my favorites

Joy is just brilliant how she acts it and with the music and everything going to it's an amazing scene. My heart breaks every time I see it, but I love it.
