I think they originally got to know each other when Joy was still writing articles for Hello Giggles. JC is a pretty regular contributor to that and I guess from there they decided to write together (Diamond Gothic) and ended up becoming really good friends.

Yeah I think they met through Hello Giggles. The site runner put them in touch when Joy was starting DG with Abigail Spencer.
I hope Joy lands a pilot soon or something else where we can see her onscreen. I don't have much faith she'll finish her next album any time soon lol. Love her but it took like 8 years to get the songs off firestarter (was that the original title?). I was totally shocked when we got recordings of please and I know only like a year later! Haha. I wish Songbyrd had been picked up or another network had picked it up but I guess it wasn't to be. I wish we could see the pilot though! __________________
