Amy Beth Williams?????? That just makes me laugh. But hey atleast she got the 3 name thing right, and as long as she was appreciating that was the main thing!

Amy Beth Williams. I'm so glad to hear that everyone's loving her though. And 4 songs? Squee!! I'm so excited for this show. It's how I'll be spending my Easter weekend.

ETA:: LivingintheOCsucks brought this to the OTH board from the WB board.

That's it. It is on now. I am dressing my absolute sluttiest and totally using my boobs to my advantage. Girl power/feminism be damned, I am going to get backstage.

More impressions from Vancouver:

Tyler Hilton board:

The first show of the One Tree Hill tour, Vancouver style:

First of all there were a lot more people than I expected out to the show! The line up was all the way down the block and around the corner.
Bethany came out first, and she sang a few songs. Overall she was fine, but not my fav. I love her dress though! It was rainbows! Beautiful! She came out later and talked with the croud about the Oscars, she seemed nice.
Next was Tyler. He did a longer set than I had expected. He was so energetic, and seemed really happy to see all the fans. He started out with "Pink and Black" and ended with "Kiss On". He also played: when it comes, the letter song, glad, rolling home, slide, and picture perfect. "Picture Perfect" sounded amazing, I think it was better than the cd.
Next were the wreckers. Michelle looked tired, and Jessica had extensions in her hair (I think). These two girls blew me away! Their performance was amazing! They did quite a long set, of all their new stuff. They also did one solo song each. Songs called "tennesee" and "sit still look pretty" were my favs. Also a country blue grass song titled "My oh My" was so cute! I loved it! At one point Michelle patted her belly to the music, and I thought that was so sweet.
Next was Gavin. It took them 40 minutes to get him on stage. He did a great set, but I'm not a huge fan.
I waited afterward in the lobby, but only people with special wrist bands were allowed to stay for the meet and greet. Needless to say, I had to go outside in the freezing cold and rain to wait. I spotted Tyler through the doors and he looked over at me. I waved him over, but he just waved back. A few minutes later he looked back and smiled. But then he left. I waited for over an hour, without a coat! I was soooo cold. Gavin came out, and I got a pic with him. After that it was getting a lil too scary downtown, so we left. We seen a few buses leave, and a few band members with Gavin went into a near by club for an afterparty. I wanted to go, but I figured it was time to go home. It had been a long night.
Over all, the concert was amazing. The wreckers blew me away. Tyler sounded amazing, and I'm sure he's gained a lot more fans. He kept laughing at the teenies signs...there were a lot of teenies there! I felt so old! (and 22 is not old! lol)
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the review, and I know you'll have an awesome time at your concerts!!

Guys, when you go, make sure the first thing you do is ask about wristbands! They're for the meet and greet after the show. I was SO mad I didn't know about it. haha. I think Jenn did though?

The show overall was really good. I was pretty close to the front, but my camera made it seem like I was so far away and I was mad because only halfway through Tyler's set I realized that my zoom magnified even more! I think this was Tyler's setlist:

1. Pink and Black
2. Letter Song
3. Glad
4. Rollin' Home
5. Slide
6. When the Stars go Blue
7. Picture Perfect
8. When it Comes
9. Kiss On

So I go out into the mezzanine during one of the intermissions to get something to drink, and a swarm of girls fly by me because Gavin DeGraw's there. I definitely...was not impressed with them, haha. But Gavin played for a good hour and a bit. And he was amazing! The Wreckers were awesome too, as was BJL. Bethany started the show off, and introduced all the acts. She even chatted with us during one of the many intermissions, and of course, another swarm of crazy teenies. She had to jump back onto the stage to avoid them trampling her!

The show was amazing you guys, amazing! I've been a big fan since his spot on 'American Dreams' too, I think that was early '04, so for over a year now, and this being his first show in Vancouver(and Canada), it convinced me to finally register here to be another contributer to the discussion of this terrific guy. I've been skimming the pages of these boards for months, but this board has sucked me in even if I still am too damn busy with college, work, and life, to write about last nights show!

An Overview:
Joy had a great little set(3 songs) with Tyler's band, and then she intoduced Tyler who's set list, off the top of my head included Pink and Black, The Letter Song, Rollin' Home, Kiss On, Picture Perfect and of course When It Comes and Glad! I'm sure I've forgetten some but he did play a full set and was fantastic. He was so cute, as always with that smile, and he started smiling and talking mid-song when he saw a sign that I later caught a glimpse of, I think it said 'wanna get a room at the Hilton' or something like that. It was pretty funny, the girl was one of many young screaming girls at the show, but he was lovin' all of it. As was said earlier, Joy(Bethany Joy Lenz) came out for an excellent performance of 'When the Stars Go Blue'. I wish his alblum was released in Canada(I ordered his alblums off amazon), cause even though it seemed everyone at the show enjoyed him, not everyone could appreciate his performances as well as us cause they weren't familiar with the songs(the OTH fans I guess new a few), but now they know!

This is gonna be long, and I feel like I'm writing a lot of run-on sentences and paragraphs for the matter but to talk about the rest of the show Michelle and Jessica(The Wreckers) rocked like everyone else, but since it was their first performance together I was really impressed. If anyone is curious, I feel weird talking about this and don't wanna get to personal but a couple of days ago I read on MSN.com headlines that Michelle was pregnant(her husband Teddy is their bass player)and then last night it looked as if she was showing and was wearing a loose fitting plaid shirt. She actually looked hesitant and awkward when introducing Teddy, but didn't say that he was her husband or anything about being pregnant. Anyways, sorry for going off topic to make it short seeing as how this is a Tyler board and for people who are going to see the show I don't want to spoil any of it by going into too much detail but to discribe Gavin DeGraw in one word: Brilliant! I've been a fan since his CD came out in '03, and I don't know if any of you are fans, but you definitely will be, last night everyone was on their feet. After Tyler's set, Gavin was in the lobby(I saw glimpses of him on my way to the washroom)and their was a sworm of girls around him, Joy got that too when she went to talk to the audience. I think the majority of the people who were there were young teen fans of One Tree Hill, it would've been nicer with an older audience but I'm glad that they're going to see a show like this instead of say someone like Britney Spears.
Even though I came 15 minutes(to a huge line, gen. admin.) before the doors opened but was planning on coming hours before(my friends were so late in picking me up) and was quite far back for a theatre, I still had a good view of the stage and the fabulous performances. It was a 4 and a half hour show (including Gavin's 45 min. set change break)and it was so incredible it was probably my favorite show I've ever been to, and I've gone to see likes of John Mayer(w/Maroon 5), Coldplay, a Local Tsunami relief benefit concert w/Sarah McLachlan and many other great live acts. My friends who weren't as familiar with Tyler and Gavin(they don't have their alblums or anything) said the same thing. So this just in again, The One Tree Hill Tour is after one show and I'm sure will be all the way through Awesome!

I went to the Vancouver show as well and I must say I'm even more impressed with Gavin. I've heard of his live mp3s from other shows and knew he was good but I was totally blown away last night. He's an engaging and energetic performer and seems like a very nice guy. If he comes back again, I'll be there for sure.

Overall, the whole show was awesome. I liked all of the performers. I didn't even know who Bethany was before but I must say she made me like her a lot. She is very friendly and she has a nice voice. She came out a couple of times to talk to everyone and to introduce Gavin. Tyler was also good although I enjoyed the other sets better. The Wreckers were great. Their voices really complemented each other's. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

I'm so happy I decided to attend the show. 4 hours of great music - it was totally worth it.

The show last night was really really good. I agree, I wasn't as impressed with Tyler Hilton as the others, and Bethany has a great voice. She was a little bit uncomfortable onstage, but that will come with experience.
I heard Gavin and his band went out on Granville somewhere after the show and I was wondering if anyone knew where they went?
Overall, having never seen a Gavin Degraw show, or One Tree hill for that matter, it was a pretty good show. Gavin was the highlight of the night.

Grrrr....they are getting her name wrong! How is she suppose to make new fans if they don't know her name. I read one review where they called her the One Tree Hill girl.

How 'bout we hit up the The Wreckers, Gavin DeGraw, and Tyler Hilton's message boards and inform these people about Joie? Maybe post the JLC.com weblink too? What do ya say?

Another poster on the same board corrected said poster.

I wouldn't be too thrilled if fans of Tyler Hilton, Michelle Branch, Jessica Harp, Gavin DeGraw came here to set the record straight or promote their favorites, and I don't think they'd like it either if we did the same. If they like Joie, they'll make the effort to get to know her; if they don't, big deal. "Informing" them isn't going to change their opinions; even worse if done in a place that's reserved for their favorites.

Thanks to tylerfans.com, we now have an idea of how lovely Joie looked in Vancouver:

though knowing it just makes it all the more painful we can't see her face.

Thank you so so much for bringing those over scherra.

Wow, she looks so amazing. Pretty dress, pretty hair. Doesn't it look similar to that top she wore in the TV Guide cast pic? I remember the rainbow colors.

Oh, you're right, Doreen. I was thinking it didn't look too unfamiliar.

Off Tyler Hilton's board again:

Joy was so cute! When the intermission was incredibly long, she came out and onto the floor where she was instantly swarmed by girls lol. She quickly hopped back on stage.
"Do you have a tattoo?"
"Yeah I have one that says 'beloved' on my foot. Ahh I'm so stupid, I just put the mic to my foot!"

She had a good voice live! She sang Open Arms, and another one which I didn't recognize as well as When The Stars Go Blue with Tyler.

I'm almost positive it's the same dress. I just looked and examined it.

Again, you are a GODDESS. Thanks so much for finding all the stuff.
She looks so unbelievably gorgeous and I'm just so freakin' happy for her. I'm literally tearing up while looking at the pics, even though that's completely dorky. I just love Joy so much and am so happy and excited for her that she is performing for all these new people, because music is her soul. She's just phenomenal in every way.

Well Michelle and Jessica weren't at the meet and greet, but the others were all SO nice. I'd met gavin before in summer and then talked to him a bit in the lobby too, and everytime i've seen him he's been so nice. Tyler and Joy were great. They were both so enthusiastic and thankful and seemed genuinely excited to be meeting the fans. and I think Tyler didn't really know what to expect from Canada, never having come to vancouver before and especially since he's more well known in the states, but i think we all gave him a great first impression. He wants to come back. Tyler started singing "chariot" when he was signing a gavin degraw shirt, that was cool. Joy likes it here, and it reminds her of home 'cause she's from Vancouver, Washington. She was really sweet and she's prettier in person than on one tree hill (hell she's gorgeous on there too.)
