I just have to say I'm not through all of the fanfic in the 1000th NH celebration thread, yet, but what I have read is absolutely fab. Gah. I love it.

Thanks so much to all of the awesome fic writers in this fandom, and then thanks again to everyone who helped make that thread possible and put it together. So awesome!

I read Nancy's fic for the 1000th, and I liked it, but I don't know. I feel like it was too ... rushed or something. I feel like it would have been a better story if it went on longer and we got more backstory. But, still good!

GAHHH I want to read Brynne's SO BAD. But I never read TOLB or GIAB so I can't. FAIL. Maybe that's what I'll do tonight, start reading those so I can read Brynne's new fic.

I love Brynne's fics.. Plus it was so freaking adorable the way Nathan being so sweet to his baby daughter.. I wish I can see that on screen because I can pic in my head when he did that..

.. And I love the rest of 1000th fics.. They're awesome...

I've been so busy this week that I haven't had time to thoroughly look through the 1000th thread opening let alone read the fics, but I should have some time this weekend and am really looking forward to it. I did read Brynne's fic submission earlier, though, and it is complete

I'm so glad she revisited the TOLB and GIAB universe for us. I can never get enough of NH and Mere.

Shanna, you could probably enjoy Brynne's 1000th fic without reading TOLB and GIAB but I do think you'd enjoy it a bit more if you did read at least TOLB before doing so. Her 1000th fic is set right after the end of TOLB to give you a frame of reference.

I read Diane's. It's a fast read. Loved the banter. I'm big on that, lol. And just all the lovely NH romantic adult moments. It's a super read that just plays out before your eyes as you read it, like an episode of the show.

Congrats to all the writers who participated and thanks for sharing.

I read most of 1000th NH fanfics, and most of them are pretty good!

I spent like all night reading most of it, but haven't done with other half yet. So I am going to read the rest and enjoy even more.

Those writers did amazing job to make a great NH story, especially for 1000th! I love most of them. So yeah.

Awww I just read the fics and I really liked them. It was nice seeing some old!school authors participating! I am so craving for some new fics again though. GAH i wish more people would come back and write!

I adored Brynne's submission! Anything from the TOLB/GIAB world is exciting for me. I agree with Becky and think it can also be read as a stand alone. Definitely don't deny yourself because you haven't read TOLB first. Actually, I would pretty much guarantee that you'll want to read the other two fics just so you can get more Mere time

Diane's fic was amazing and really captured all the nostaligia surrounding NH's relationship perfectly. It was definitely a fitting tribute for the 1000th thread celebration, including fond memories, family, humour...and of course, some steamy NH. When do I not love one of Di's fics?

I really enjoyed Nancy's fic also. I have a soft spot for AU fics and this one was definitely very AU. I like seeing NH in such different circumstances to what we're used to but still being the same people inside and having the same magic between them as a couple.

It is extremely difficult to create an alternative universe and a completely new backstory for NH and as usual, Nancy has done an amazing job... especially when she only had a one parter to do it in instead of a full length fic. It will definitely go on my 're-read' list

I haven't had time to read all of the others yet (had a tooth pulled on Tuesday and still suffering

) but I hope to read them all this weekend. I'm so glad we had so many submissions.

Sorry to double post, but I've just managed to find time to read 'The Off Season' by Elaine/SterlingQuill and I really, really enjoyed it. Not only was the whole premise wonderful, but Whitey had a decent role in it too. I love me some Whitey in a fanfic

I can't believe I have more AU fics to re-read

Mel's 'Shiver' was fabulous too. I've always loved 'Fever' and it was great to get another fic from her

I rarely get time to read fanfic lately but I've put aside my afternoon for this. I'm in NH fanfic heaven!

I started reading the 1000th thread fic submissions this evening and started with your Man's Best Friend. It was fantastic!. You have such a knack for comedy and I laughed more times than I can count as I was reading. But you also added a nice touch of passionate NH which I always appreciate. I left you some feedback on the LJ page, but wanted to say thank you for writing it here as well.

Next in line for me is Mel's Shiver, but first I'm going to re-read Fever even if I don't need to because I remember enjoying that fic when she first posted it, but its been a long time since then.
