one tree hill tour [02/28/05 - 03/31/05];

bethany joy, accompanied by tyler hilton & the wreckers, went on a 25 city musical tour in 2005. this tour coincided with one tree hill since joy's character, haley, was actually going on tour with tyler hilton and the wreckers on the show. it was here that we heard some of our favorite joy songs for the first time, such as john & jr., crazy girls, songs in my pockets, sunday train, oh god/foolish heart, and if you're missing (come on home). she also sang when the stars go blue with tyler hilton, which their characters sang on the show, and some covers such movin' out and queen of wishful thinking. during the tour was also when joy released her 2nd CD, come on home, which featured 4 tracks she sang on the one tree hill tour, as well as another song leaving town alive. on tour, joy sang, danced, and met with fans at the meet and greet. some of our favorite joy stories come from the tour like the NH money cup and hamlet book. it was also on the tour that we found out joy wrote her song if you're missing (come on home) in her one tree hill trailer during the season 2 episode "the trick is to keep breathing", and that she wrote oh god/foolish heart just minutes before going on stage.


on the tour we also heard some insight into why joy wrote some of these songs. john & jr, for example, joy said she wrote about her childhood heroes, john malkovitch and robert downey jr. joy also said the song was about waiting to be the best; "So often we think we know what we want, but if you wait, really there's something so much better," she told the crowd. "It's inspiring. Just wait. Wait to be the best." if you're missing (come on home) joy said she wrote about hollywood, and not wanting to get caught up in hollywood and remember who she was. the one tree hill tour is one of everyone's favorite joy memories, whether you had the opportunity to go or not, and is definitely an event all of us will never forget.

The first Insane Lenzbians thread was started on March 22nd, 2005. One of the posters on the board coined that phrase as a name for Joy fans who were insane about Joy. A Lenzbian is a noun. It's a female who is in love with Bethany Joy Lenz (now Galeotti). This person is not bisexual or homosexual, but instead is a heterosexual with a Joy-crush. You can recognize a Lenzbian by these key factors: You live on Joypiter. You know exactly what someone is talking about if they use the term Lenzbian, Joypiter and Joie's sexy dance. You attempt to try and sing along to Joie's songs even if you know your doing a half ass job at it. You begin or end every sentence with 'Joy'. When a teacher is asking you questions on your homework you just look and say Joy. You answer every question on a test with one of the following: Joy, Joie, Bethany, Lenz, Lenzbian, Joypiter, Bette and so on.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHH l'kjsdlfkshdf it looks so awesome! Guys 5 years AHHH. I remember when I came here, about 3 years ago now. But this was the first board I ever posted on, and my favorite board on no matter what. Wow 5 years, that's such an amazing milestone. And we're still going strong!

Is Lyn going to be around today to pass out the tissues?! Hee. I'm going to be thinking about this thread all day and it's just going to put the biggest smile on my face. I still can't believe it's been 5 years. I wasn't around when the board first opened, but since I've joined it's become a second home to me. There are so many amazing posters here and being a part of it, it's just such a wonderful thing. The friends I've made through this board are people I can't even replace in my life. I've had so many amazing times here - late night posting sprees, celebration after celebration, squeeing over new Joie news. Guh, it's just one of the best boards out there. I love everyone here so much!
