I liked the irony of the ending. I thought it was pretty well done, how Russell's a detective facing potentially dangerous situations all day, and yet he ends up popping over to invite his neighbours to a barbecue and gets shot by the husband.

It was sad to see Ben sitting there like that. But with any luck next season we'll see him with maybe the therapist or even Chickie. I'm sure he'll have better romantic prospects next season, and more family stuff will be dealt with. The casting for his dad and sisters said there would be significant storylines if the show got picked up.

Next season? Going from what Michael said about John and how the pill situation starts to affect how he trains Ben, there will be some conflict there or he'll inadvertently put Ben in danger or something. Maybe Ben will have to be Chickie to John's Dewey? I like seeing Ben/John getting more friendly but I also want to see John yelling at him again. And Ben will definitely have to find out John's gay, so it'll be interesting to see how that all happens.

Regina hinted in an interview that there may have been a bit more than just work between her and Russell, so if he survives I guess that may all come out.

I think Nate will have a lot of family/marital problems if he finds Mercedes' mum.

If they start shooting again in July, we may start seeing new casting stuff pretty soon.

In that e-online interview Ben talked about the show dealing with his (and everyone else's) romantic life too. So far we've seen just glimpses of that with Ben/Daisy, Sammy/Tammy and that guy that dumped Lydia after having sex with her. So I think that on top of dealing with Ben's family issues we'll see some romantic storyline.

I wonder why they never went with the therapist storyline.

^ Maybe they thought they didn't have time in S1 and wanted a longer season to explore it? If they do go ahead, I can't see it being over in a couple of episodes like Daisy. I think they would play it out for a lot longer.

The Daisy thing ended before it even started really… I don’t know why they even went there with Ben and Daisy unless it would lead to something more meaningful in the second season.
