^ That's cool that they answered your question!

It sounds like we'll be getting a lot of good Sherman family stuff next season. Awesome!

But they'd better still give us lots of Ben/John too.

Very cool that your question was picked.

I am looking forward to learning about Ben's backstory, but I also want to see him and Cooper together.

I became a fan of Southland during its short run on NBC last season. Do you have anything on what we can expect in Season 2? Will we get more insight into Officer Sherman's relationship (or lack thereof) with his father? — Jocelyn
TIM: Southland's writers baited very beautiful little traps to draw us back each week, and Ben's backstory is among the most alluring. We'll definitely find out more about the dynamic he shares with his big-shot defense lawyer dad, as well as whether Det. Clarke survived that out-of-nowhere shooting. I'd follow this show to hell — or even to Friday night, as the case may be.

Southland Season Two Spoilers: Ben's Backstory, Clarke's Fate

Southland got off to a solid ratings start during its inaugural run on NBC, only to flame out as the season ended and find itself relegated to Friday nights in the fall.
Still, loyal viewers were rewarded with a handful of intriguing storylines as Southland drew to a close, two of which will be heavily focused on when the show returns.
According to senior editors at TV Guide, Ben Sherman's backstory, specifically the dynamic he shares with his defense lawyer father, will be expounded upon in season two.
Also, fans will discover the fate of Detective Clarke, who was shot in the May finale.
Thanks Michal I´m glad we will get some more background Sherman

C. Thomas Howell is hosting a reality series.

Rehab guru 'Jacked' for CMT

So I guess Dewey is not coming back for Season 2?

Or maybe he will be in the pilot briefly before going to rehab.

I am OK with it too. I thought CTH was really good as Dewey but the character had hit rock bottom by the end of the season, so there isn't really anywhere else to go. There are enough other main characters that need storylines without having to see Dewey rehabilitate himself.

I guess if he is part of Chickie's backstory at all, we may see him again briefly though.

Do you think they'll bring another actor to be Chickie's partner? And if they do; will he/she be a regular?

^ Yeah, I agree. It'll be interesting to see what they do with Chickie now regarding her future and her new partner.

It would be very intresting she when she gets a new partner.
She is very loyal as she stayed besides Dewey when no one else wanted him as a partner.
