TWO GANGS

A STOLEN WEAPON AND A COVER UP-- Detective Sal Salingers (Michael McGrady) nightmare comes true when his car slams into a light pole and gang members steal his weapon. Gang Detectives Sammy Bryant (Shawn Hatosy) and Nate Moretta (Kevin Alejandro) arrive on the scene to help out their boss. Moretta reluctantly agrees to assist Bryant in the search for the perpetrators and Salinger's weapon without calling it in. Elsewhere, still preoccupied with her personal life, Detective Lydia Adams (Regina King) is caught off guard when a man exposes himself to her outside her home. Tom Everett Scott also stars.

This was a VERY good episode imo. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Ben and Cooper were awesome (and funny!) and I'm also starting to enjoy Sammy and Nate's storyline. Ben looked super hot imo! Can't wait for next week's episode!!!!!!! Ben's getting so hot he might accidentally start a fire every time he walks!!!!!!!!

Ben and John were hysterical! They had some great "garbage" calls. Ben asking "who gets the cat?" They were funny with the kid and his radar warning. Ben was cute giving him money. John was great at the ending with the flares too.

I am enjoying Sam and Nate's relationship. Tammy is a complete idiot. Last week she is searching a kids room for drugs to get money, this week she is smoking in the bathroom with her drug dog barking at the door. Seriously?

Yeah, at "Who gets the cat?" I also liked the scene where he gives that kid money, and I thought it was hilarious when Cooper was contronting that big beer bellied tattoo guy and he asked if he was trying to say he looks gay and Cooper makes his smug question regarding what a "gay person" looks like. I can't wait to find out more about his character. And it was pretty cool when Ben choked out that guy... I mean, if I remember correctly (it all happened so fast, so I'd have to watch that part again on hulu), he appeared to do a choke I've actually learned before (I'm a martial artist chick... have done that stuff since I was 7 years old...) And yeah, Nate and Sammy are totally entertaining me during the scenes Ben and Cooper are not in so that's always a good thing. Regina's character is actually kind of getting on my nerves, which is disappointing because I REALLY like her (the actress). And YES, THANK YOU! TAMMY is the BIGGEST IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a good episode but last week episode was better imo. I think I just don’t really care much for Sal's character *shrug* I loved Ben and coop especially in that tattoo place, it's nice to know Ben can kick some ass lol.

Lydia and that pervert guy was also kind of hilarious – I think that scene was meant to be part of the pilot because Lydia is in the same cloths she had on in the pilot.

I seriously need more Ben! And what's with us not seeing Ben's mom? I thought we were supposed to see her in this week episode.

Yes, stills from that scene with Lydia and the flasher were on the NBC site as part of the pilot.

I wonder what happened to Ben's mum? I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer. Ben/John were as awesome as usual though, but I missed seeing Chickie.

I enjoyed the episode. Sal is the character I am least invested in right now, but I still like him. I feel a bit sorry for his daughter though. He seems very over-protective of her. I enjoyed the detectives trying to work together to solve this without having to report it and how Sammy and Nate both had different ethical approaches to what they were doing. When the show started I thought Nate was the more senior, but now I think it's Sammy.

I could seriously sit and stare at Kevin Alejandro all day. Sheer hotness. I need Ben/Nate scenes. Soon.

Hi guys

Watched the eppy and I really liked it. I love how each episode shows us a little more about each character.

Nate/Sammy: I thought that the last two weeks with these two have been really interesting. I remember that after seeing the pilot, I didn't see much chemistry or any dynamic but they're really coming into themselves. This episode was a turning point in the character development because I think that their differences were highlighted. We see Nate as the Mr. Perfect, abides by the rules kinda guy. He doesn't like to be pushed into a difficult situation and he's very ethical. Sammy on the other hand is more lenient about bending the rules and can be quite pushy when he wants something to be done his way. The two got a little snippy a few times tonight but it was cleared up in the end. I think the two are good friends and share the same understanding of their job but their approaches differ and I see this as being something that could really create a problem between them in the future.

Sammy/Tammy: OK I think that I might be taking back what I said last week. While yes I do think that their marriage is intriguing, I think Tammy's constant presence can be a bit much. I'm glad we found out where they met. I figured it was in highschool. As for the pot, I think it was just to show the differences in how they've both changed. It seems like Tammy might still be the same girl from highschool while Sammy has tried to grow up.

John/Ben: I was surprised that they had such a lighthearted storyline compared to the usual stuffbut I liked it. It was a nice change and nice to see them interact on a more sociable level. I think that John likes Ben and thinks that he's a great cop but maybe it bothers him that he's so closed up. John has been a lot more open about his past. I reckon though that the the fact that hes gay will brought to light soon.

Lydia: Not much o do tonight but I liked her. Peeping Tom pervert was odd but maybe it was nice to see him appreciate her compassion. Where's she going t live when her mother moves?

Sal: Well I don't know. I liked his storyline tonight but I don't know that I have respect for him anymore. The lying, the affair all seems like the act of a very cowardly man and I don't think that he's a good leader. Especially the way his situation drew a small divide between Sammy and Nate. I hink that Nate is weary of him whereas Sammy looks up to him. It's nice to see a bit of his inside life but I'm not sure if I support him yet.

Russell: He's just bland. His storyline doesn't interest me. I don't care about him or his wife no matter how hard I try which is disappointing. Maybe in time.

Chickie: We've seen so little of her lately that I reckon an episode centering on her will happen soon.

Overall though I still liked it .

I wonder why they change the order of the episodes – this one was suppose to air last week.
