BEN REVEALS WHY HE CHOSE TO BE A COP; A FAMOUS ACTOR FINDS HIMSELF IN TROUBLE, AGAIN - Tom Sizemore and C. Thomas Howell Guest Star - When officer Ben Sherman (Ben McKenzie) reveals details of his past to the department therapist and his training officer, John Cooper (Michael Cudlitz), the motivation behind his decision to be a cop becomes clear. Elsewhere, Dewey (guest star C. Thomas Howell) becomes star struck by Timmy (guest star Tom Sizemore, "Saving Private Ryan") a famous, self obsessed actor. In true Dewey style, mischievous and star struck Dewey decides to party with Timmy, rather then book him. Trouble ensues when Dewey loses track of Timmy, and Chickie (Arija Bareikis) finds herself questioning her decision to take him on as her partner. Regina King, Tom Everett Scott, Shawn Hatosy, Kevin Alejandro and Michael McGrady also stars.

OMG, episode 3 was so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who else agrees? And Ben looked so cute in his hang out clothes toward the end. I like when he jumped the fences!!!

It was a great episode again.

- Liked that we got some more info on John and Ben´s background.
- Loved that Ben walked out when he saw Sr Sherman. "Oliver" never said that he would come too.
- And "Oliver" I love that they bring back characters again.
- Liked John in the Sheila shop he was so sweet to them.
- Tom Sizemore played himself....heee
- John took the camera phone to photo Dewey.
- And finally we saw Ben running and over the fence and stuff.
- Liked that Ben stood up and asked John what is his problem--- twice.
- Ben at the therapy woah.

More will come but I have to watch the epi again as I was in a hurry.

Another awesome epi. Am completely in love with Sherman and John, together and apart.

Awesome episode! This show is just getting better and better. I loved that the episode was so focused on Sherman and Cooper.

My two favorite scenes were; Ben in therapy and John talking to the transvestite. Very well acted, directed and photographed.

I love that Oliver is back! What's his name on the show btw? Everyone just keeps calling him Oliver lol.

Poor Chickie Dewey is a douchebag! I want her to ride with Ben and John again.

That scene where John is giving the troubled couple a divorce was weird (cops really do that?) but the other scene where they come back and arrest the couple is pretty awesome I loved Ben and John's faces when they made the arrest.

I've missed Kevin Alejandro in this episode – he's such an eye candy.

Loved the scene of Ben and John talking at the end of the shift, we got to find out so much about their back story. I still think that there's more to the story than Ben is letting John know and I really want to know who's the woman John's dad raped and killed (could it be John's mother? from what John said it looks like they had an abusive relationship) and how John really hurt his back.

Can't wait for the next episode, I'm guessing it would be more focused on the detectives this time but I'm hoping to at least get a scene of Ben talking to his dad since they ended this episode with it.

Fantastic episode! I think it is getting better each week.

I really enjoyed the conversation at the end with Ben and John. I was thinking it was his Mom too.

"Oliver's" name is Wade. lol. I think we will all call him Oliver through this. He is dating Ben's sister. lol.

John was very funny giving the couple a "divorce."

The ending where he walks is totally HOT.
Left me wanting more as well, like AHHHHHHHH.

Oh I hope they take away Dewey I agree he is annoying. He is guest starring so maybe they will put him in rehab soon.
And he had made a couple mistakes already losing his gun etc.

Dewey definitely needs rehab. But I think he'll still be around for a while because I get the feeling he is somehow going to be part of Chickie's backstory.
