| Here's a comment that was left this morning on one of my uploaded Ben interviews with Jimmy Kimmel: Comment by WickedlyBreathless I met Ben. He was a total sweetheart and looked better in person. Always thought he was good looking on TV but he's gorgeous in person. He's not tall at all which was a bit of a let down. I love how fans say he's a sweetheart and gorgeous in person. And to have the freedom to say whatever we want, yeah, it's very freeing. It leaves an air of spontaneity." Do you do a lot of ad-libbing or is it strictly by the script? Shawn Hatosy: "No, we do a lot of ad-libbing and even if it's not... You know, we'll ad-lib to get to a moment and it may not end up on the air, but we do a lot of it. We're shooting on digital as well so you have the freedom to kind of go on for as long as you want." Did you expect it to catch on the way it did? It went out of the box with a bang. Shawn Hatosy: "You know it's hard in this day and age. I don't know what formula keeps a show on the air. We had okay ratings, it's NBC and there's a lot going on and it's a good show. At the end of the day, it's a good show and I'm glad that we have a chance to sort of develop. I still think that it doesn't know exactly what it is yet. | Thanks for all the info TC and Michal That interview with Shawn explains Michael's Twitter back in May about him and Ben getting the gear on again. When we wondered what they were doing and if they were shooting new stuff at the last minute or something. I expect they'll be doing a bit more of that again soon, right before they start filming again. | |||

Yeah, I also figured that Ben was probably shorter than the height his agent or whomever lists him at. I've heard that most actors are actually pint-sized in real life. Ironically, stage actors are usually TALLER than the average person; I'm not an expert on the acting industry by any stretch of the imagination, but my cousin who is an aspiring theatre actress told me this years ago. I guess it has something to do with how film depicts people vs. people needing to be larger in size to not get lost up on stage. I believe it; Tori Amos, who is my very favorite musical artist, always appeared tall to me in her videos. So when I saw her in concert, I was shocked by how tiny and petite she is. | |||
