I think it's from the scene where Ryan is going to kiss Marissa after Trey goes home (after they helped get Kyle locked up for dealing Jess the drugs and they get Trey set free), and she tells him "I think we can do better than the front seat of Sandy's car." And he says, "I know a guy who has a pool house all to himself" and she asks, "Do you think he'd let us borrow it?" And he says, "Oh yeah."

I just thought that Josh was being a jerk again. A few episodes before SS got this big kiss in the rain that all the fans went crazy about and when it was Ryan turn to do some loving he get a boring kiss in Sandy's car. Not fair!

Oh gosh, now that you put it that way, I TOTALLY AGREE!
 The least he could have done was shown the pool house making out at the end of the episode. Maybe it could have been hot like in The Perfect Couple and featured a shirtless Ryan.__________________

He could have easily made it more special, but he choose not to.
I don't know... maybe because he knew that RM are going to get this big part in the finale and SS are going to get pretty much nothing (in the finale), he wrote them (SS) a better "coming back together" kiss.  __________________

I think Josh gave SS most things better though after the first season. He gave RM awesome angst, but then he'd fail to resolve it or properly deal with the aftermath. He threw RM under a bus in S3 especially.
On the plus side, at least RM sex scenes were hotter. SS got a fade to black.  __________________
