Junebug (Johnny Johnsten)#5:Because four years later and people are still talking about the movie!

"A dealer in outsider art threatens the equilibrium of her middle-class in-laws in North Carolina. Madeline is a go-getting art gallery owner from Chicago, recently married to George, a near-perfect Southern beau. When Madeline needs to close a deal with a reclusive North Carolina artist, George introduces her to his family: prickly mother Peg, taciturn father Eugene, cranky brother Johnny, and Johnny's pregnant, childlike wife Ashley, who is awe-struck by her glamorous sister-in-law. Madeline's presence exposes the fragile family dynamics as hidden resentments and anxieties surface."

I love this

Ben McKenzie’s performance seems, at first, a world away from his turn in ‘The O.C.’, but in fact the two roles are quite closely linked—a frustrated working class boy struggling with his own sense of inadequacy. Johnny is perhaps the most conflicted character in the script, his motivations never clear, his actions unjustified and his allegiances always shifting. But McKenzie manages to make the character believable, giving us glimpses into Johnny’s taciturn dissatisfaction without ever going overboard into melodrama.

and this:

Ben McKenzie, star of the television hit, The OC, turns in an impressively underplayed performance too as Ashley’s repressed husband.

and this:

Most known from TV's teen soap opera, "The O.C.," Ben McKenzie is a startling find in a part that separates him from his television counterpart and calls for a dramatic range that hadn't before been tapped into. His Johnny is an interesting character, one who married before high school graduation and resents brother George for having left to pursue career aspirations he himself may never get the chance to do. A simple scene where he unsuccessfully attempts to record a program on TV for Ashley about meerkats—her favorite animal—not only has more tension than in the whole of the recent worthless monster movie, "The Cave," but unlocks a gentle, sympathetic side to Johnny and his love for his wife that he has difficulty showing on the outside.
