Like I said, I dont have Ben's myspcae profile nor do I know if he even have one. I did find out the myspcae profile of Ben's brother Zach and one of his friends, but out of respect to Ben's privacy I wont post it in a public forum.

Hey anitawoodz

I'm not sure what do you mean, can you be more specific ? In what episode did the song played ? what was the scene that played during the song ?

Maybe this site can help you, They have all the songs that were played at the show with a description of the scene that played during the song:

A question about Ben

Hey guys! I'm new to this forum. I'm a huge Ben fan...
Anyways, I have a question that could help me defend him on another message boards. After reading a few of your posts, "LoveBen," it seems like you know a lot and have a lot of info on him.

So the thread was discussing how Tate Donovan bashed the cast of the OC (Mischa, Adam, Ben, and Rachel) for not being grateful for their job, not working well, and ruining the show. Cam (Volchok dude) is now saying something similar.
Do you have any Ben articles or Ben interviews that show that he was indeed grateful for his opportunity to play Ryan and that he has a great work ethic? I know he does... I just don't know how to prove it to them.

Thanks!!!!

Much Love,
Theresa

Hey Theresa welcome to the Ben board I'm glad to hear you're a huge fan of Ben.

Since we have a thread to ask general questions about Ben, I moved your post here.

You can always go over the posts on ben_support or the old threads on this board and you will find a lot of interviews and quotes from Ben, but here are some recent ones:

  • From the Austin-American Statesman

The spotlight from "The O.C." might have been brighter than McKenzie would have liked at first, but he remains grateful for the boost.

"I have absolutely fond memories of it," said the actor, who is still a close friend of co-star Adam Brody. "It was an incredible learning experience for me. ... In a way, it was a very practical graduate school, so this is not as intimidating now as it might have been. I know far more than I did before, so this won't be as daunting."

Ben McKenzie goes from 'The O.C.' to the P.D.

  • From The Examiner

Ben, what specifically did you take away from "The O.C." that you were able to bring to "Southland"?

McKenzie: You know, I’m very grateful for that experience … I treat it basically as my graduate school; instead of going to NYU for graduate school in acting, I spent four years on a set in front of cameras. And I learned a lot quite quickly about all sorts of things …

Celebrity Q&A Examiner: Ben McKenzie and Regina King reinvent themselves as cops on TV

  • from Five questions with ... Ben McKenzie of 'Southland’

Is your fame from The O.C. a blessing or a burden?

If I’m being completely honest, probably both. But I choose to believe it’s far more a blessing than a burden. I was completely unknown before doing The O.C. I’m incredibly grateful for everything that came out it, for the relationships that I formed with various people, for the on-the-job training I got, for the money, for everything. As for the burden of 'You’re going to be typecast as that guy forever,’ well, that falls on me to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Five questions with ... Ben McKenzie of 'Southland’

  • From TV GUIDE

    Any regrets about The O.C.?
It was absolutely a good thing--I had no experience. I look at it as a graduate school for acting.

Were you ready for your sudden leap into teen poster boy?
No. I was certainly not ready for that. Hopefully I handed it decently. It was a little strange. I went to college, I have a degree in something other than acting. It was always a strange place for me to end up--a situation where I never felt entirely comfortable. But I was very appreciative of all the interest.

  • From The Texas Monthly

What have you learned about acting since The O.C.?

So many things. I’m very grateful for that experience. And it’s nice to have a second go at a series where you know so much more than you did the first time. I understand the pacing much better, how quick it can be, how slow it can seem at times. I’m far less intimidated by it than I was when I got The O.C., because I didn’t know anything back then.

I hope this would help you make your point

Yes, I've opened it because we use to have a lot of people asking general question about Ben, so I thought we need a thread for it

I'm sorry, but I just had to comment on this. Wikipedia seems to have inaccurate information on Ben:

Quote:
McKenzie stays out of the limelight, preferring a private life to that of his OC co-stars. He stays active by playing football, the sport being one of his passions. He has also been a long-time Boston Red Sox fan, and is best friends with Mischa Barton.
WHEN was he ever "best friends" with Mischa Barton?

Quote:
His favorite music includes Bette Midler, Madonna, Donna Summer, Barbra Streisand, Cher and Christina Aguilera.
I thought his favorite music included stuff like Wilco, Outkast, and Stevie Ray Vaughn? Those are the only sorts of people I've ver heard him mention. He's mentioned Shakira before (he said she was hot, lol), but I've never heard him mention Christina Aguilera either. And when did he ever say he liked Madonna, Cher, and Barbara Streisand?

Quote:
He has stated in interviews that his favorite songs are "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls and "Macho Man" by The Village People.
Is this true?

TC, I'm CRACKING UP right now!!! No, NONE of that information is accurate...Someone edited his Wikipedia entry as a joke, to make him look gay! The stereotype of gay men is that they listen to music like Cher and Madonna, and the songs that were included are also a homosexual stereotype. By no means am I saying ALL gay men listen to these artists and songs, I'm just explaining the stereotype.

I know I shouldn't laugh, but I think it's so funny that someone wrote this! As for the Mischa Barton reference, it was probably just ironic humor, since she definitely does NOT stay out of the limelight!

HA HA HAAA!!! This made my day! Hey all, I'm sorry I haven't been on for awhile...Life has been tough, but as of today, it's looking up...I hope this trend continues!

TC, please don't think I'm laughing at you...I'm not. I just think the Wikipedia information is hilarious!
