Made by the multi talented Lisa.

I keep reading articals where the 3 of them are out somewhere, or they sit together at awards. It just seems like the 3 of them are really close. Here's some pics... all from ben-mckenzie.com

good thread - they do appear to be good friends :yay:

Yeah, they are really good friends. I'm suprised Bret Harrison isn't hanging with them alot, considering him and Adam are roomates as well as bestfriends and bandmates. Considering they all hang out at parties and clubs, just imagine the premieres of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and In The Land. Those three will be connected to the hip for those premieres.

Yeah, they seem to very good friends, they hang out a lot, i found this here: Adam's encounters
July 5th - By Jenny
This afternoon my friends and I went down to Sunset to eat at this incredible pancake place called The Griddle. It's this tiny little joint located right next to the Directors Guild of America building where all these aspiring actors and directors go to pore over scripts and have a good meal. While we were waiting outside for a table (the place is always packed and we had to wait about 40 minutes) we realized that the guy standing next to us was the lead actor from the TV show The OC. I never really thought he was that hot from what I'd seen of the show, but he is reeeaaally good-looking in person. Well, anyway, my friend and I, who are totally in love with the actor Adam Brody (who is also on The OC and used to be play Lane's boyfriend on Gilmore Girls), started joking that maybe he was there to meet Adam and that they were best friends in real life. We sort of laughed it off and went down to the Rite-Aid on the corner to buy some playing cards to occupy us during the 40-minute wait. When we got back, the OC guy wasn't there anymore, so we sat down outside while my friend went into the restaurant to use the bathroom. She came back out a few seconds later with this bewildered look on her face and goes, "He's here!" Apparently, they ARE best friends in real life. My friend said he was there with his girlfriend, Rachel Bilson, who also plays his girlfriend on The OC, and the guy who played "Ham" from The Sandlot (still a struggling waiter/actor in Hollywood...he served my friends at a sushi restaurant a few months ago ).

When we went in, the guy sat us at a table a few feet away from the booth where the group of actors were sitting. From where I was sitting, I had a clear view of Adam Brody and his cute-as-hell girlfriend laughing and snuggling with each other. After ogling their table for a couple of minutes, we started concentrating more on our enormous appetites. I ordered myself a Strawberries & Cream waffle, while my other friends opted for pancakes and eggs. Halfway into our meal, though, we saw Adam Brody get up and make his way in our direction. We just sort of stared in awe as he situated himself in the booth right next to us to talk to some friends. I couldn't take my eyes off him, and every now and then he would look over at me, probably slightly annoyed or scared, or maybe a little of both. I kept telling my friend she should ask him to take a picture with her, but my other friends said that it would be rude and to leave him alone. He eventually went back to his booth and my friend and I figured our opportunity had just passed us by. We enjoyed the rest of our meal and spent most of the time filling in one of my friends on what the actors were doing, since her back was facing their table and she was unable to see any of the action.

Just as we were getting the check for our meal, the Adam Brody table got up and they began making their way towards the back exit. My friend and I decided that this was our last chance to capture the moment and got up to catch them on their way out. We followed them down this long hallway that led to the bathrooms and the back parking lot. Ben Mackenzie, the lead OC actor, had to use the restroom so the rest of them were waiting for him just outside. We approached Adam and he shook our hands and my friend asked him if we could take a picture. As my friend got the camera ready, Adam complimented me on my t-shirt (a band shirt with a picture of the Rocketeer on it) and told me that his girlfriend's dad had actually written the Rocketeer film. I thought that was pretty cool and then babbled some other random crap. Adam asked his friends (including the Sandlot guy) if they wanted to go see a movie or two that day and I asked them if they'd seen Napoleon Dynamite, which my friends and I were planning on seeing after eating. Rachel Bilson said that they had and that it was hilarious. She was really nice and cute and tiny...I was surprised by how adorable she was. My friend gave Adam's friend the camera and we posed with Adam and Rachel and thanked them for allowing us to bug them. Then we went back to meet the rest of our friends and tell them about the wonderfulness of it all. - By Jenny

Awww that is such a lovely story. They do seem to be really great friends. It's great when the cast get along off set makes the show even more loveable. I remember hearing about trouble off set between stars of other shows and it just kinda ruined the magic of the show, if you get what I mean. It's cool that their friends ^_^.

yeah i agree. if they dont like each other in real life.....it shows in the acting. So its good they gets along :)

Not only are they good friends, I've also heard that some of them are very similar to their characters on the show. Like Adam Brody is very Seth like in real life. I don't know if it's the same for Ben. But I think actors bring a part of their real life into the show with them, and that's partly why the O.C. is doing so great, because its a show which is about relationships and the stars have great relationships off set and it shows through on set.

I agree, I think you'd realy be able to tell if they weren't really good friends off set. Plus you work with someone so much, I think it's just almost natural that you'd become close.
