William can do too much harm with his powers. __________________

Xfiles Future!
Is this the end for the xfiles!
It as bad as I don’t want to admit it feels like the end! I know GILLIAN wants out , but I think with good writing that DD can carry the xfiles! Please tell me what y’all think, I’ve been really physically bothered by the thought of XFILES ending forever! |

It kind of originally “ended” for me at the end of Season 5, so I didn’t know Mulder and Scully had a kid at all when season 10 started.
I don’t think I’d enjoy an X-Files show without Mulder and Scully, together they have the chemistry onscreen that makes everything work so well. It’s a duo act! Both actors are capable of carrying their own shows at this point but X-Files is the both of them, the heart of the show. And I don’t think a spin off with William will work at all. __________________

Lets better end it in a good way this time. Without Mulder or Scully in it the show would die a terrible rating death, and that's not what it deserves. No matter how good the stories are for me the XF aren't possible without Mulder AND Scully. THEY ARE THE XF - TOGETHER. I'm a huge fan but I wouldn't watch it anymoe without GA or DA in it.

I am surprised we didn't see agents Einstein & Miller again.... What was CC's plan for them?
Also, I am starting to suspect that Scully's pregnancy is nothing but a plot device, so they can explain away her absence, just in case FOX orders more episodes. __________________

Thanks for the link! William coming back in a superhero type show? I don’t think he’s a superhero. He’s supposedly the offspring of the most evil man who wants to destroy mankind so I haven’t seen William really being a good guy during this season 11, has anyone else?
And that was weird about introducing Einstein and Miller last season but they disappeared entirely this last season. I guess they were a test to see if they could replace an aging M&S, but it just didn’t fly. __________________

That’s what I suspect, they proved to be so unpopular that maybe that put Chris Carter off using them any further?
And lol I think that CC was just thinking of superpowered individuals in general like the X-Men, you can have villains as well as heroes when it comes to characters who have those kind of mutant abilities __________________

Reading this latest interview I kind of understand him better, and I also understand why he frustrates me so much, even after 25 years. It appears that all he wants to do is 'explore' certain aspects of his characters. That's great, especially if they're top notch actors like GA and DD, etc. But I feel that's not enough to tell a good story, especially nowadays, with all the good TV we have now. I feel like the X-Files haven't aged well in that regard. Ironically, we always regarded the 'mythology' episodes of the XF as great television....a complex series of episodes, so clever that no one understands them anymore. To me, it turns out this was never the case. Instead, CC was just exploring random things, constantly changing his mind as he went along. Sorry, if I sound so negative. But the size of my frustration is quite considerable, after the S11 finale. I cannot help feeling like so much would have been possible. Instead we got some random 'exploring' and the whole thing is a mess again. Sigh.

Yeah, we don’t really want to watch exploring at this point, we needed some solid storytelling! The original series was time for exploration which did happen at times... and if you want to still explore them, write some fan fiction
I’m still looking forward to a blooper reel for the DVD’s... although the best blooper already happened in season 10, apple to the boob, down goes Anderson! __________________

I finally saw a clip of the season 11 bloopers. The crew put Scully’s vibrator into the Blob fish so it would shake in front of DD and GA and of course, Gillian laughs her contagious laughter that makes me laugh just cause she’s laughing
Hope there are more to come soon., Here is the clip __________________
