I fell asleep shortly after I got off here last night. Got up once a while ago, and now I'm up for the day I think. No wonder I'm falling asleep so early. Up early, and no naps.

I'm glad I'll see the nurse here at home, before the Dr, so I'll know what to expect. It'll make me less anxious.

I am worried about getting out of the house with my walker, but I'm using the one with the 4 wheels now, cause the cab driver will put it in the car and get it out for me.

I slept really well, thanks. I was having problems this week, as I was so cold in bed, but I was doing better last night.

I've been out this morning, chatting with friends and getting a couple of items from the shops.

I'm impressed with myself. I had a wash on, did all the washing-up, showered, and dressed, all before having breakfast this morning. Much better than yesterday, when I didn't start any chores until 10.30am!

I'm hoping you got out of the house safely Kim (and back to it) and if you got the staples out, it wasn't too traumatic or painful. Just remembering all my anxiety about how it would feel to get out my little stitches!!

My new co worker that I work with on Wednesday and Fridays is someone who I get along with better. She is sweet and older but flighty and seems easily stressed out!! She's always taking deep breaths and stuff. And she tried to give me Christmas presents 3 times. A poinsetta before Christmas which I had to decline cause we have animals at our house and I was leaving on my trip. Then when I came back this week, she tried to give me ear rings but my ears aren't pierced. then this morning I came in and she gave me a coffee shop gift card for Tim Hortons and then saw my Starbucks cup I happened to order this morning and thought I don't like Tim Hortons but I'm like no no, I do like it. Poor woman!!!

That's very true, Leanne it's nice to get stuff done and have more free time. I'm not usually so organised!

I don't have pierced ears either.

I just had the single portion of Christmas pudding I bought for myself. Yum!

I noticed while she was teaching that she has an annoying verbal habit of saying "shh!" after almost every sentence so that becomes all I can hear. I might have to wear earplugs in the future for that.

I keep thinking of piercing my ears but then I think it would feel gross to have to turn them around when I first get them and I'm not good with the fine motor skills to attach the tiny back parts without seeing what I'm doing!! Plus how do you sleep on pillows on the side with those in??

I bought some "devonshire" type cream in a jar the other day, is that the kind of cream you mean for putting on warm Christmas pudding?

That does sound really annoying, Leanne. I'd be annoyed by it for sure.

I don't like the idea of doing that either.

You could do, but I'd normally use a lighter cream than that, or condensed milk. But I'm not sure if you have that. Ordinary cream is fine. A thick clotted cream is great on scones.

I saw your photos of your Christmas vacation, it totally doesn't look winter-y!! Looked like nice spring weather there!! Nice ocean view, reminded me of my view in Vernazza, Italy!

Yes that would be fine.

It felt like Spring there too. The temperature and the amount of sunshine were so like Spring here. We commented on it at the time.

I have an hour left at work and then I plan to go get my BC prescription filled and look for some more jeans! I need more than one decent pair and an old pair that are worn out in some places! Then later, I have a chinese food appointment with my parents and some siblings! (not sure it will be that fun though.)

Leanne, glad the final gift was one you can use and enjoy. I have pierced ears-have since I was 16. Double pierced actually. I never wear earrings to bed. And, I usually wear ones that don't have a back, but just hook through. Just me though. I totally understand where you're coming from.

You definitely may need your earplugs with her.

Claire, wow you really were organized today! Way to go.

Dr. gave me a great clean bill of health. Still have the staples in, for a few more days, but he took the bandage off-and it's healing great, with no infection.

Also, he was really impressed with my walking, handling things, and said I was doing a really great job, especially with my attitude.

That made me feel good, and like I'm way ahead of where I thought I was. Also, officially off oxygen now. :clap;

Hi Kim so glad to hear that good news! So that means even tho you’re kind of in some pain, it’s all really getting better for you in the long haul! And I’m always amazed at your positive attitude despite the things you are going through. so relieved you’re not needing to lug the oxygen tanks around!

I got two pairs of jeans and two identical long sleeved sweater t shirts that looked pretty good on me... so since they looked good I got two cause they were buy one get the other 30% off. So one is slate gray, the other navy blue. I notice I have trouble buying clothes that aren’t black, grey or blue or green. I need more tops with patterns or red or maroon but really hard to do it. All my tops are mostly plain with no patterns or pictures!

Still no black jeans though, they are always there but not in my size or the leg I want!

We shop the same way. I'm generally gray in what I pick-pants, tops. I've never even ventured into green. So, you have more variety than I do. I'm glad you found 2 that you really like, and like how you look in them. Also yay on the pants.

I don't have black jeans, but I have dark gray, that are my faves. I'd love black ones.

I prefer black pants but I’m picky about how material feels, so I prefer denim but stores just never seem to have my size, petite and boot cut or straight black jeans when I go looking!

It was raining hard and after trying on multiple pairs of pants and sizes, I had my fill of a store so I’m gonna do my prescription refill tomorrow

I have Chinese food tonight but I’m worried with the family drama my mom will be a downer. I just want to eat without hearing or talking about drama.

I've got to get to the pharmacy, I just don't know how I'm going to. It's got to be this weekend. It's for my pain medicine, and a bone density pill I take once a week. Gotta get some sugar free candy, chips, and a pill box for a week size.

i can get all of that at Walgreen's. Not sure I have enough for a cab there and back. Guess I'll call and find out. I only have $15 cash left.

Bleh-I HATE trying on clothes. Either I like them and hope they'll fit. But with pants I try them on. I'm impressed you got as much done as you did.

Yeah, family drama sucks on its own, much less hearing it all the time. I hope she doesn't go there.

I'm going to bed soon. I realized by going to bed so early, that's why I'm getting up at 4am, staying up all day, and no naps.

Anyway, I'm heading to bed. I hope dinner goes well, and there is NO drama.
