And one wall, in my living room is blue and 3 walls of my bedroom are also blue,. And so is my bathroom. Oh boy, :embarrassment: Should I go on? At least my car isn't blue.

I love graphic novels! The last one I liked was called Into the Woods. It was pretty creepy but great drawings. I don't know if you'd like it tho, cause scary. At work I am familiar with kids graphic novels, two good ones are called Smile and El Deafo. Both have blue covers.

I love where I work now, but I guess anything beats prison, even tho I had an office room there. The window didn't open and freezing wind blew through during winter there, plus it was in a junky portable. Now I work in real buildings, but two of my rooms don't have any windows at all, which I don't like really.

I like our OT, it always feels weird when a third person joins in, even tho that should probably happen, hahah. :P

What do you do for your exercise routine! Need ideas here.

Did you paint your own walls? I love painting walls, such a great home project. I've repainted them a few times... my poor bedroom has about 6 different colors.

El Deafo!! That's the novel I brought home with me!! I also enjoyed Smile. :D Have you ever read Ghost World? It was my favorite one growing up. I was a lot like the main character Enid.

Today my workout routine included climbing on and off of chairs at work and running after the custodians and checking out on the new coworkers, especially the brand-spanking new ones to our vocation. My exercise is usually at home on the elliptical and using dumbbells. It's too hot to be outdoors, but I do love running in the park when the weather is cooler.

We have another thunderstorm right now!

I'm sort of jealous of your thunderstorms! I want rain, but this week is gonna be sunny and hot and I dislike that, even tho it's not TX hot! But thunderstorms aren't common here either.

No, I didn't paint my place, I picked the colours then hired someone to do it. I'm too clumsy to do things with my own hands too often, lol.

Yeah El Deafo is a good one. I liked Smile and also the sequel book Sisters. I had to laugh at some of the jokes about the 1989 and 1990 timelines, I related to being a kid struck by The Little Mermaid for animation love and some of the clothing trends in those books. Haha.

I haven't read Ghost World. But it has the word "ghost" in it so it sounds intriguing, lol

I have a stepping machine but I don't use it much uess I need a energy release outlet, and I have my bike which I don't ride often enough.

Tech Noir 08-15-2016 07:00 PM

It's raining super hard right now! Such a racket!

I haven't read Sisters yet. Ghost World is about the friendship between these two girls... I find it moving. They made a movie about it and changed the plot where it became about Enid hooking up with Steve Buscemi. I think the friendship plot was way more poignant. Hollywood disagreed. :/

And I like the title we chose for this OT -very girlie. It's our special people club name. :P Did you ever watch Welcome to the Dollhouse?

Okay, gotta run now! Enjoy your evening! :D

 Something funny just happened. I took a "personality test" and my result was "Mediator" and looking at the traits, I thought "hmmm, that could describe Mulder's character". Then at the bottom was "mediators you may know" and Fox Mulder was listed,:lol: I knew I'm like Mulder. Too funny. Mediator types are only 4%of the population. Anyway, now you know you're dealing with a Mulder type person here.... :P

That book seems interesting, is that brown hair, glasses girl that resembles me somewhat, Enid? poignant girl friendship? I am sensitive to stories like that since my experience with a girl ended up with someone acting like a sociopath which I elaborated in the PM. It's probably why I ended up with a male friendship after, which has lasted 11'years now.

:lmao: again at Special People Club. Yep, I've seen "Welcome to the Dollhouse"! That movie really appeals to my dark humour side. When I was 12-14, I was a lot like Dawn, clueless, no fashion sense, ugly glasses. what I remember is her asking her crush "want to see my fingers?" and the family laughing when she got pushed into the kiddie pool on the video, which she later destroyed. Yes, our lovely special people club. Perfect! :D:P

Tech Noir 08-16-2016 04:58 PM

I took the same personality test a few months ago and was also given “Mediator” as the result! :lmao: 4% of the population, eh? Special People Club in da house, yo! :high_five: So I guess that means you’re dealing with a Mulder type too. :P:lol:

Yeah. Enid is the one in glasses. I started to reread the book this past weekend and I have a different perspective of the characters and their relationship now.

You have a kinder memory than I do because I remember her as “Weiner Dog.” I haven’t seen that movie in ages… but poor kid, man…

Today I was walking with my hands full of decorating materials when some of it started to slip. My annoying coworker was nearby and said, “Need a hand?” But before I could reply, he continued, “because there’s a mental institution across the street.” He followed the punchline with :evil_lol:
“Is that where you escaped from?” I inquired.
We’re horrible with each other; I’m going to miss it.

Anything new with you? :D

reason to believe 08-16-2016 07:20 PM

You and co worker are quick on the witty comebacks. you almost make me miss being at work and interacting with people again. :P. I'm still being a hermit, staying out of the heat.

 out of 16 personality profiles on that test, we end up in the 4%? That's some odds right there, on par with 2003 Toyota cars, (mine is a Corrolla). So two Mulders... Wouldn't two Mulders just pump each other up with no one to bring us down to earth, crushing our emotional enthusiasm with logic and reasoning? :P the thing I notice I have in common with him most is having a strong passion for the things I'm passionate about. Plus a good memory and believing in things science can't explain! plus water beds.

I love that Dollhouse movie. did you read some of El Deafo?

My parents and brother went to Hawaii this week and considering I haven't done much exciting stuff here, I'm kicking myself that I didn't tag along too, seeing their photos of poolside luxury. I'm not a beach type of vacationer but pool resorts sound better than being here in heat wave BC!

Tech Noir 08-16-2016 07:41 PM

Haven’t started El Deafo yet. Met up with bf after work then came home and started on the next survivor while watching the Olympics. I also brought home Sisters. :D

My aunt had invited me to go to Hawaii with her during Thanksgiving break some years ago, but I had already spent a lot of money on other vacations during that summer, so I declined the offer. Total regret, for sure. Yet another thing we have in common.

Okay I’m off for the night!

~MelBelle~ 08-16-2016 09:31 PM

Tftnt :d

reason to believe 08-17-2016 12:31 PM

Sounds like you have some good books ahead of you for your weekend!

Now I have some questions lol.
How long have you been with BF? Do you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert? Have you ever been to Hawaii at all in life? I don't know what I would need to see there, I mean I can see the ocean here too. Good food, maybe?

Not worth pm'ing this but not applicable to visitors so
Spoiler:

What's your favourite summer Olympic sport to watch ?

E.T.A. OMG, just went into another room and there was a huge house spider on the ceiling. I totally did a startled cry (it wasn't a girly scream! lol) and probably scared my cat, but I couldn't help it. Now I'm scared it's going to eventually crawl down to the counter and surprise me when I'm preparing food or walking on my floor tonight. I feel some adrenalin now, I'm okay with ordinary little spiders but not monster like spiders on ceilings where they can fall on me, :bawl:

Tech Noir 08-17-2016 02:53 PM

Can’t wait until I have time to kick back and read. :woot:I’m on chicken-without-a-head mode still. :/

I met my bf in December; we started going out in March. :) He’s an encouraging person. I like that he looks out for others.
I’m probably 73% introvert, but with some people I’m 100% extrovert. Never been to Hawaii; I would love to take a helicopter ride over a volcano there someday. :D My annoying coworker went there last year, and he took AMAZING photos with his phone of beautiful oceanic sunsets. Speaking of him, he left a nasty looking file cabinet in my room and hasn’t swung by to pick it up. I told him he can kiss it goodbye if he doesn’t get his crap out of there by Thursday. He has a nasty habit of dropping off his hand-me-downs in my room, asking me if I want them. When I respond with a "no," he leaves the stuff there anyway and runs out the door laughing -maniacally. :/

Since you used spoiler tags on your post, I guess I will too, which will probably only want to make people click on it even more -the spoiler tag effect. :P:lol:
Spoiler:

Favorite summer Olympics: swimming and gymnastics.

So what happened to the spider? Are you going to kill it?

Another scary thunderstorm is about to hit; it's so dark outside!:eek::eek:

reason to believe 08-17-2016 03:40 PM

I don't think I could do a helicopter ride, so high up and small! Although I have flown in a small commuter type plane and thought that was fun once. I'd feel like I'd fall out of a helicopter, lol

I'm sort of afraid of the stuff people might drop off in my workspaces. I try to leave it neat for myself when I get back, but it seems my rooms are easy for staff to drop stuff off to store stuff in. And this next year, my back workroom will be shared by two other people, grr. And if my bully boss left me with a bunch of books back on the cart I was trying to clean that I need free for my job, I'll be so mad. I love my places to be free of clutter! Your annoying co-worker is such a tease, it seems!

I was going to vacuum the spider off the ceiling but I just went to check on it and it's gone  That means it is going to appear on my floor later, scaring me. If you hear a scream somewhere out there in the wind of your storm, it will probably be me, when I see it again. Yikes!

Tech Noir 08-17-2016 06:59 PM

A single engine Cessna would creep me out; too many plane crashes with those. :nono:

Leanne, are you watching the Olympics? If so, which sport/s do you watch?

I am straight up messy –not even going to deny it. People with the trait to organize come in and fix things for me. And I love them for it!
And yeah, my annoying coworker likes to ruffle feathers, for sure.

I hope you find that spider before you go to bed tonight!

One of my coworkers brought me back a “magic pen” from Japan (erases the ink ).

She made her visit sound very fun and fairly cheap. She said the weather was more tolerable than in Texas. Hm. Maybe I'll go next year...

reason to believe 08-17-2016 07:09 PM

This spider thing is for real freaking me out. I want to go get some food out of that room for late dinner but now I'm afraid the spider either dropped from the ceiling to the floor and is scuttling somewhere toward my bedroom, or I'll pull out a bowl and it will be in it. Or if I don't find it now, I'll wake up in bed tomorrow and look up and it will on the ceiling above me and then drop down on me! :bawl: and my cat is useless, he won't kill anything! I'm kinda scared.

I'm not very interested in summer Olympics so I haven't seen any sport but summer sports are boring, I'm in Canada so we are more winter sport-y here! :P. When Vancouver hosted the Olympics in 2010, it was amazing but the most people I've ever been among. Like an ocean of humanity on the streets of the city and you don't even want to know how it was on the train home.

I like how "cute" they package things in Japan  and they have various flavours of KitKat bars I wish I could taste! Not sure what I'd want to see there tho to visit.

My place is quite cluttered right now, I really do need to tidy up around here!

Tech Noir 08-17-2016 07:21 PM

That sucks about the spider! :/ My cats fight for roaches. Blondie Bear is dumb enough to bring it upstairs to my bedroom so I can watch him kill it, but Lil BB runs off with it.

I like female gymnastics the best. Seeing them fly in the air like a boss.

I would love to see the cherry blossom trees in spring in Japan. Pretty. She also visited China and Taiwan.

Are you still watching GoT and Buffy?
