Regarding canoeing I actually cheered for that guy from Togo. I mean Togo and canoe, doesn't sound that strange? He won bronze and broke his paddel (english word?) in his excitement. :lol:

I missed the opening ceremony :( It looked stunning from what I saw on the news.

I like watching the gymnastics, the way they can control their bodies is just wow! I wish I was that bendy!

Interestingly, it was revealed that some of the footage of the fireworks from the opening ceremony was pre-recorded and therefore fake.....

Really? I also read on Yahoo! that the young girl who sang wasn't singing, she was miming to another girl who was singing somewhere off camera because she wasn't as cute as the other one. Thats so sad :( Poor girl will probably have a complex now.

My best friend had her baby yesterday! A girl, named Anna Mae, weighing seven pounds three ounces. I've only seen a picture, but she has the biggest eyes I've seen in a new born :sigh:
