X-Files Off-Topic #55: your daily virtual summer BBQ party in here!

New thread

There You'll Be 06-15-2018 12:24 PM

My post from the last thread, since it was the last one

Quote:

Ev/Marissa, nice to see you. Glad you got some sun, even if it doesn't show up. I always had to put a towel down on leathery seats in the summer. I'm glad you're enjoying your time off so far.

Claire, I'm glad you don't live in a hot country, too, and got some sleep. I'm also glad you're having a good evening. What are you up to, tonight?

Claire, Hi! I'm the same, with hair.

Leanne, I'm at your co-worker, too. With people I was close to, I almost could always figure out what they meant. Not any more. I'm glad you're enjoying your day, and your horror movie.

I screwed up and took my 2 bipolar meds at the same time, when they're supposed to be 12 hours apart. It was awful, and I just got up after 16 hours of sleep. So, my hands are shaking, and I'm retyping every other word.

Politics ahead, enter at your own risk.
Spoiler:

I just needed to get that out.

Meliana 06-15-2018 12:32 PM

Hi Kim!

I'm so sorry about your political situation, it seems he's determined to drag the rest of the world down with you all too. :(

I hope you're ok after too many meds.

I did say on the other thread, I'm watching The Staircase on Netflix.

reason to believe 06-15-2018 12:43 PM

Oops, Kim, hope you're feeling better as the double dose wears off! That's alot of sleeping!

Yeah, I was like WTF when I saw them quoting Bible verses for stuff!! You wouldn't see that in Canada. (of course, I'm probably speaking too soon, right?) Its ridiculous that no one seems to be alerting anyone or stopping anything with the craziness! I know alot of Americans don't agree with it, it must be so unnerving being a citizen of your country.

I don't tan! I have Irish/Scottish skin so I'm an indoor girl, as you will  I have to shave though :irked: Cause even though I'm pale, I have dark hair!

There You'll Be 06-15-2018 12:52 PM

Claire, yep, he's destabaling the entire world, because our government won't stop him. :(

Oh, how is The Staircase? Is it a horror movie, or a thriller, or.... Are you liking it?

How is your daughter? How was your sons 2nd tutoring session?

Yep, Leanne , the constitution guarantees the separation of church and state.

How is the movie you were watching? Are you going home straight after work?

Yeah, I'm starting to feel better. I will get a pill box, and make sure that never happens again. I got up and couldn't stand, and it scared me, cause I thought it was my hip. Yeah, that will never happen again.

https://www.smilies.4-user.de/includ...e_love_432.gif Cause I forgot the hugs when I got here. :)

Hi Kim

Thanks, I used to hate my name until on a roleplay forum girls were like ''aww cute name'' I kinda can stand it now and especially when in english it feels better on tongue.
I'm just picky and self-conscious

I hate politics. Lately I'm becoming aware there could happen war and I feel everytime I watch a movie that includes war theme I catch myself trying to memorize some tactical escape tricks

All kinds of systems are messed up in my country. And yet they once again simply pour our tax money down the drain literally by trying but messing up all the streets. I strongly doubt autumn is far enough for them to finish.
Last year it lasted til October while they said the construction on one of the main city streets will be lasting only til September at most. And every year the same picture.

The school holidays just begun and it's like three months time to comfy fit any road works. Yes we do have three months summer school holidays for gen pub only exam part for graduates is longer.
I am so happy not to go through that all over again. I hated school so much and the struggled with all the study process ( I do indeed have some learning disorders just not diagnosed and I need more youtube stories to try and find out as I keep finding all kinds of stuff that explains a lot of my mental issues and personality parts).

reason to believe 06-15-2018 01:19 PM

Thanks for starting the new thread Kim! Glad it wasn't really your hip either!

I have to go to the other school and interview the the job posting! Kinda anxious now that the time is close! I have to print out my schedule too.

Watching "Three's Company" at work!

Meliana 06-15-2018 01:25 PM

I'm sorry you struggled at school Ev. My son has dyslexia, so I understand what that is like.

Good luck in your interview, Leanne. :)

I hate politics too. I'm fed up how the government is screwing us over with Brexit. :irked:

The Staircase is a documentary about a court case in the US, Kim. So much corruption and lack of evidence, and using personal issues against the defendant. It's compelling viewing though.

I hope you're okay, Kim, your post went a bit weird there!

kiamay 06-15-2018 01:35 PM

Hey guys!
Thanks for the new thread :flowers:

Kim, the political situation scares me as well. I find it all quite overwhelming because I had the exact same associations you had. The only way to stop him is to finally make something stick!

Hope you're feeling better with your meds!!! I'm in roller coaster land as well because of my new meds but I have doctors close by. Be careful!

Leanne, you will be finer than fine  They'd be fools not to make everything possible to fit in your schedule.

Hey Evita! picture me breaking into song every time I see your name. Gosh I love that musical  so you'really not at school anymore but finished it recently?

There You'll Be 06-15-2018 02:18 PM

Evita, I'm glad you have a summer break now, and that you can relax and learn from You Tube. Road construction never ends any more.

Leanne, you're welcome. I'm sending you lots of good vibes, You'll do great.

Claire, there is more evidence coming out that Russia hacked the Brexit vote, too, You're probably asleep, but I hope you sleep well. Yes, I'm okay now. Just hitting all the wrong keys.

Kia  good to see you. Our government is supposed to stop him, but they aren't. :nono: I'm glad your doctors are close by, It gets scary dealing with new meds.

Y'all ignore my spelling errors, unless you can't understand a word. I'm having a lot of trouble hitting the right keys, still.

kiamay 06-15-2018 02:59 PM

Kim you worry me  Are you gonna be alright?
I'm still awake. Don't know why. Arms and legs feel funny :goof: gonna try once again

Hello, I’m home!

I think the interview went well. I found out it’s another inner city school so I wouldn’t be leaving the chaos of my current school for something that better.. but it’s gotta be a bit better cause my other inner city school doesn’t seem that bad either compared to the Monday one I’m at. As long as the principal at my current school can be willing to flip a day there to a Monday so I can take the new school, I will accept. If not, I’m keeping everything as is. They have therapy dogs at that school though so that’s kind of cool to have an animal around at work!

I hope the new meds work for you Kia. Do you think your illness is something that could be treatable?

How are you now, Kim? You’ve been correcting everything as far I can seem I have no issues with your typing!

There You'll Be 06-15-2018 03:58 PM

Kia, speaking of worrying, I'm worrying about you. Can you call a nurse and tell her? I really hope you get some sleep, and feel better.
I'm doing better now, and my typing isn't as bad as it was, so my head and hands are behaving more again.

Leanne, :back_hug: I'm glad it went well. I'm sure it will all work for the best. Hopefully your work will be done by you, and your co-worker will stick with her job, if you get it. And also that she wouldn't be lazy.

I'm better, thanks. Yeah, I did a lot of backspacing to erase words, and re-type them several times.

Yeah, this time, I plan to start the new year meeting with the teacher librarian and going over my job description and especially with only one day a week, what jobs are the best use of my limited time. I met the one there and she seems nice and sounds like she does her job, like actually teaching the kids there, not letting them just loosely wander around for 30 minutes making messes. and doing my work.

I’m getting a bit hungry for dinner but it’s 4:15 pm so a bit early for eating.

I’m just flaking out a bit cause I did a lot of shuffling of books on shelves while everyone was gone and it looks done now, I’m sure my co-worker loved it when she arrived back!

I forgot my bag of good coffee pods at work though, I hope it will still be there by Wednesday when I come back, that was expensive to buy :irked:

There You'll Be 06-15-2018 04:23 PM

That will be really good for you.

I had 2 corn dogs, with spicy hot mustard.
