Tomorrow is a book fair and its fun to see what new books there are that we need. Its like I've been getting new books alot and so get to do my favorite processing part of the job!

I loved book fair! Each of us kids ordered the books we wanted, out parents paid for them, and book fair was the day we got them!

My day has been okay. Work was nice and I went to a vinage furniture sale. I feel like I am on the verge of a mean flu though. All my joints hurt like hell. If my temperature goes up over night I will have to stay home tomorrow

My son's school has book sales too. It gets expensive!

I wanted to buy chairs for the kitchen. Even saw something I liked but I didn't have enough money on me. We took it as a sign I'll go back next month. It's only once a month.

And thanks, Claire I am on my couch with lots of cushions and a hot water bottle... Have been freezing all day even though it's practically summer outside

I used to like going to antique stores! I hope you don't get very sick, Kia!! Hopefully, sleeping will help get through it well enough to not progress!

I loved book fairs too. I got one of my most favourite books I read as a kid there, "The Dollhouse Murders". I still have a copy of that book in my closet

That sounds fun. I used to go a furniture auction, it's quite fun bidding on things! We got cheap furniture that way, when we didn't have much money to buy anything.

And the sale was nice. Lots of fancy stuff from the 60s and bright colours from the 70s

I don't think I could do auctions to get furniture cause I like specific things and no guarantee my style and colors would be there.

At the time Leanne, cost was the main issue, and being roughly the right size and shape. Good for deals, if you're focused on what you practically need.

I can't believe this thread is already 3 pages long and I made it late last night.

Yeah, my first time buying furniture was IKEA so it was the cheap end. It might always be the cheap end for me with furniture though. However, I tend to keep things forever so it might be a while til I buy a new couch or other things.

I try not to get things that won't look "dated" in the first place though!
