Wow I can't believe how long it's been during that time my little brother was just about 5 months old and I believe that was also the time I broke my arm from falling out of a tree I didn't even hear about X-Files until a year later, never watched it until years later.

That's better than me, though I feel like a bad fan cause I may have been there when the pilot aired, but I only watched the movie for the first time this last March or April.

(I think I may even have some record of longest time taken to finish watching an entire TV series, I started in 1993 and literally finished to the end in 2016. ..... That's reallllly bad as a fan, lol)

It was 20 years ago last week that the first X-Files movie was released!

I went to see a special advance screening. About 10 people in the cinema. Good film. Loyal to the current plot at the time apart from Gibson Praise

Bees were another thing where it seemed part of the mythology then sort of got dropped.

Mythology tried different things to keep fresh but then dropped them. The whole Russia thing went away, some decent characters killed off : well manicured man and X to name two.
Liked Josiah character in s4 opener. Shape shifters didn't really get old.

Those freaking bees

I remember when Mulder/Samantha/Jeremiah walked into the house full of bees when the alien bounty hunter was chasing them..it still makes me cringe

The actress playing Samantha even got stung by a bee while in a scene. No way would I want to do any scene with a bee or a wasp.

I wish they had done something more interesting with the concept of the black oil!

The movie plays a lot on tv lately! Not the second one as much!

Aww yeah I remember Kim Manners talking about that on the DVDs, and how impressed they all were that the little girl didn’t break character and say oww until after they had finished shooting the scene

Black oil was a good plot.

I like the 2nd movie as we'd been starved so long and it was just like a normal episode

Mod note: remember the rule about double posting. If no one else posts after 48 hours from your last post, then you can post again.

I didn’t get much out of the 2nd movie, compared to the first. There were so many ways a good story could have been made into a theatrical story than the 2nd movie’s plot.
