She phoned Mulder and gave him reasons why she needs a new pet. She said she needs something to care for, cuddle etc.

Mulders thoughts at that moment (IMO): Why does she need this dog?! For all this stuff she can use me!

Just finished binge-rewatching S10.

I have to say I liked it much more than the 1st time. Surprisingly, it didn't feel rushed at all anymore....

I think my expectations were simply too high, the 1st time around.

I didn't even have any expectations for Season 10 at all, so everything pleased me cause I was just being nostalgic at seeing new X-Files and seeing Mulder and Scully, along forgotten fan affair from the past!

Like literally, I didn't even think about the comeback til the night before, I got reminded and thought "oh yeah, new X-Files tomorrow, I'll have to check it out!"

And then when thenfootball game went into overtime and people on Twitter started whining, I got a bit more excited... and then when the original credits started playing, the familiar awesome theme music and seeing the tweets from other fans, and then thinking, "there is an actual new episode after these opening credits", I got into it all over again I was a goner, back in "the Zone"!

Just saw this again, and I'm hoping maybe we'll see another sweet M&S callback moment in season 11.
