I know its too crowded etc. and I guess I made loads of newbie mistakes

But I got the date wrong and now I can't access the layers

This is so much more complicated than I thought.
How can I correct the date?

I was about to ask you about the date on LJ . Unfortunately if you haven't saved the file in psd format, you can't correct it.

For future if you are leaving your work halfway thru so you can get back to it later or want to correct it save the file in photoshop in .psd format too. This allows you to make changes.

I saved it in psd and jpg... but I don't know how to do it...
