Just wondering what everyone's guilty pleasure episode or episodes are?

Episodes that you really like but aren't actually that good. They may be cheesy, stupid or just bad, but you still like them. Or maybe you think they are really good episodes but no-one else does

Personally I really like First Person Shooter. I know for a lot of people it's one of if not the worst ever episodes but I love it! And I'll admit it's not great but I enjoy it!

It's got computer games, virtual reality, a sexy villain in leather

, Jade Blue Afterglow

, an appearance by the Lone Gunmen, some funny lines and most of all it has...Darryl Musashi!!!

And you get to see Scully as a real badass. She's got a huge gun and she comes to the rescue of Mulder as she blasts everything in sight

What's not too like? A lot I guess going by other people's reviews of it

I don't think I have watch the episode so far. Probably because I thought, I wouldn't like it anyway. Or maybe I did see it and don't remember?
Whatever, should watch it sometime and see what I think.

I'm not sure I have a guilty pleasure episode myself, but I'll have to go through a list of eps to make sure

I also love FPS.

I'd have to say that mine is Small Potatoes, and Rain King.

Again, a lot of people don't like Rain King, but I love it.

I ♥ Small Potatoes and FPS. I don't think I've seen Rain King. Probably just missed it. But I do have to say FPS is my guilty pleasure episode.

Small Potatoes is one of my all time favorite episodes. Is that one really generally thought of as a bad episode?
Same goes for Rain King. Not one of my favs, but I really like it. I actually had a thing for the lighter/funnier episodes where we got some nice shippy stuff.

Nice to see a little attention for this thread. Even though the board is busier it seems to be mostly on game threads, missing out the discussions.

Also really nice to see how many other people like FPS.

Small Potatoes definitely isn't a guilty pleasure episode, regarded as one of the best. Rain King can maybe qualify as there are a quite a few people who don't like it.

Just thought of another - Arcadia. A lot of people hate it, they think it's too silly and plays out like a fan-fic but I love it

Ooo, I'm definitely one that loved Arcadia.

I know some didn't like it but it was just so goofy and fun. Rob and Laura Petrie..."We pronounce it 'Pee-trie', actually." "Like the dish."

That's exactly why I love it. Its on the lighter side, with all the conspiracies and deaths and aliens and cancer and abductions black oil, could go on and on there needed to be a few episodes which were silly and on the lighter side. Makes it fun.

BTW what episodes were considered bad cos in my case most bad episodes would feature from season 8 and 9 which did not involve Mulder (yes I am biased).

That's my big question, too Neel. Which are the bad ones. We could watch which episodes get kicked out first on the survival threads, but that would take a few more years to figure out (seeing how slow those threads are progressing).

I really like Arcadia as well and I agree with neel that it is fun to watch a lighter episode for some times!
