X-Files Cast and Crew News

Going to use this thread to try and keep up to date with the latest new and projects for the cast and directors of the show. Hard to find informstion so may not be regularly updated. Will just start with this current project of Annabeth Gish

Annabeth Gish

Mojave Phone Booth
In the middle of the Mojave desert rests an abandoned phone booth, riddled with bullet holes, graffiti, its windows broken, but otherwise functioning. Its identity was born on the Internet and for years, travelers would make the trek down a lonely dirt road and camp next to the booth, in the hopes that it might suddenly ring, and they could connect with a stranger (often from another country) on the other end of the line. This is the story of four disparate people whose lives intersect with this mystical outpost, and the comfort they seek from a stranger's voice: There is Beth, a troubled woman facing dilemmas with her love-life and a recurring, baffling crime; Mary, a young South African, who is contemplating selling her body for the funds to escape her dreadful existence; Alex, a woman who is losing her lover, Glory, to the belief she is plagued by aliens, and Richard, driven into desperation by a separation from his wife, who happens upon the booth after his failed suicide attempt. Exploring themes of love, death, the mystery of the universe, and the phenomenon of inter-connectivity, Mojave Phone Booth pitches us deep into the lives and psyches of these working class characters in Las Vegas

Sounds quite interesting and here is the official site

Will try and give more information later

Unfortunately none of the cast seem to be getting many major roles, Robert Patrick however has a whole bunch of films he's starring in but in smaller roles it seems

That and Chris Carter still hasn't done anything in ages, rumours have him being a bit of a poison in the minds of film and TV producers which is sad to hear

So here is what some of the actors have been up to and will be up to in the future

Mitch Pileggi

Has been seen quite a lot on TV of late, and on popular shows too! He has appeared in Cold Case, Boston Legal and Grey's Anatomy all within the last few months. The only one of those I've seen so far is his episode of Cold Case.

He will also continue to be a recurring character on Stargate Atlantis but his role seems likely to be reduced, with only 1 scheduled appearance for the show's 4th season at this moment.

Robert Patrick

As well as continuing on The Unit he has a few films lined up. A mystery/thriller comedy starring Joe Mantegna (Lonely Hearts), a horror thriller (Autopsy) and an animated film with the voices of Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd and Nicolette Sheridan (Fly Me to the Moon)

Lonely Street - Bubba Mabry, a gullible private detective, becomes the prime suspect in a tabloid reporter's murder after being hired to snoop on him by a mysterious celebrity.

Autopsy - A young woman tries to find her injured boyfriend in a bizzare and dangerous hospital.

Fly Me to the Moon - Three young houseflies stow away aboard the Apollo 11 flight to the moon.

Will try and post info on the other cast and crew members when I have time

I saw Mitch Pillegi on Boston Legal, he played an attorney. He has a little hair on his head which was weird. I like him bald

I saw the last few minutes of Mitch Pileggi on Cold Case, my sister told me it was a pretty sad ep.
I watch The Unit and I'm really glad that Robert Patrick's character doesn't kill himself like it seemed he was going to do at the end of last season.

"Masters of Science Fiction" debuts on ABC tonight

Quote:
The second episode, "The Awakening", will be on Aug. 11th and stars Terry O'Quinn and Elisabeth Rohm. Based on the short story by Hollywood Blacklist author Howard Fast ("Spartacus," "Citizen Tom Paine"), the episode opens outside Baghdad, where U.S. soldiers discover a mysterious casualty - one they can't even identify as human. William B. Davis ("The X-Files") guest stars as the President of the United States. Michael Petroni ("Till Human Voices Wake Us") directed from a script he wrote, based on the short story by Howard Fast.

Mitch Pillegi is also on a show called Day Break. I happened caught glimpse of it while surfing channels.

Its about a guy (Taye Diggs) who is re-living the day his girl friend got shot and he's a suspect; over and over again (Monday anyone?? and wasn't there another show where the guy(Kyle Chandler) for whom the day starts over again and he has to make things right so disasters are averted and of course there was Tru calling)

Adam Baldwin ( Knowle Rohrer from X-files) is also in a starring role.

I associate Terry O'Quinn with XF too.

Adam Baldwin's also gonna be in the new NBC show "Chuck." Just saw a promo for it. It's looks like a show that could be good, but they edited the promo to make it annoying. It's happened before. I'm gonna guess from the promo that he plays an FBI agent trying to keep secrets from getting out. A very X-Files-y role.

I always wanted to catch Daybreak but I always kept forgetting since I don't watch many ABC shows.

BTW, has anybody here watched Frank Spotnitz's show Night Stalker. I bought the series DVD a couple of months ago and really liked it. My favorite episode is the last one with the crazy guy feeding people to the old man in the room.

Masters of Science Fiction sounds pretty cool. Masters of Horror was pretty popular but I'm not a horror fan. Will need to keep an eye out for Masters of Science Fiction

Day Break was cancelled unfortunately

No never watched Night Stalker. Not even really heard of it but you've got me interested in it
