Yeah the whole Moonlighting effect thing was a big thing at the time, and I just remember having a discussion with friends at school and us all agreeing that them getting together would mess up the show, but at the same time I don’t even know if I am remembering that clearly because I’m pretty sure that I was also kind of a shipper at the same time and everyone else was way more against them getting together at all. I remember having to clarify that not until the very end after getting a lot of meh responses when saying that I would like to see them together at the end of the show, so maybe it was just peer pressure and wanting to be agreeable that made me suggest that it should wait until the end of the show

Look at you not wanting to challenge the status quo lol. I will always remember how palpable their love for one another was, even as friends. Their connection was based on so much more than sex and kissing. I have a problem when people relegate their relationship to that because it cheapens what they created with each other. They spent seven years building a foundation based on mutual respect, love, and admiration for one another. Friendship is stronger than any other bond two people can have.

I know exactly what I thought back then. I wasn’t a shipper at all. And since I stopped watching after season 5, I was so lost when I watched season 10 and found out they had a kid called Willian.
