True. I would hope that after living together there are moments when both use their first names. Like now when they are dealing with personal issues they can call each other Dana and Fox but at work and while being professional they revert back to Mulder and Scully.

Mulder called her Dana when she was claiming that the sheriff in "Bad Blood" knew her first name, when he really didn't and he was being sarcastic

I don't remember why she called him Fox or when she did in "Home" though?

Bad Blood that is the one. I think it was on the last scene of the new season episode "Home Again"

That was odd how she just decided to call him Fox at the end of "Home Again" if she didn't after that first season episode! It's weird, cause Mulder doesn't seem like a "Fox" well, maybe a fox in the "sexy looking" meaning,, but not as a name for his personality!

The script writer decided to do it because it was a very serious moment. And Scully calls him Fox everytime when something is very important for her. Very important. To make sure that this is placed.

I think it's a nice idea...because you could see that it caused a reaction in him.

Yeah, well that means it's so rare if she only did that about twice in the series!

I was just watching a clip of Hollywood A.D. Where they watch their "characters" kissing onscreen in the movie and their faces are so funny! like they are probably thinking to themselves they may have imagined doing that but it must have been weird to see it played out like that. Scully was almost smiling but Mulder was mortified that Skinner was winking at him, how awkward in front of his boss!

SannraB 02-17-2017 10:51 PM

Haha, yes, Skinner was the coolest one in this episode, our Richard Gere! :lmao:

Well at this point M&S were lovers already. I just think that they have never thought about kissing like that in such an awful situation. ;)

Yeah they were totally already doing it at that time and I think Skinner knew, hence why he felt the need to make sure Mulder knew he didn't thought he put Federman to write "I'm in love with Agent Skinner" on the movie as his suggestion.

Well the movie has their first kiss played for laughs when in real life it took them a long time to move there and it was a meaningful milestone not inside a coffin after a fight. Mulder always fears all his lifework will be wasted and he will be remembered as a lunatic. I think he fears he is going to be the supernatural's Ed Wood he is remembered but because his movies were so bad. So of course everything in the movie will make him feel like crap. I don't think Scully cares that much about posterity and she is more hopeful that Mulder will in in the end no matter what. Just IMO, YMMV.

Just throwing it out there, pretty soon we may want to think of a new character Survivor theme of the two of them perhaps.

I did gather about 20 pics of Mulder "gazing" at Scully  but it could be boring, who knows, if anyone else has an idea of it. We did handholds and hugs before...

Well, uhmmm...yes Mulder...sure.

I always loved that scene where we see the (non-)content of his fridge.

That soooo summarizes the years when I did my PhD.

Which were also the years when I watched S7-9, actually.
