How can anyone not love this season. Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose was such a perfect episode. Funny, dramatic, touching, emotional... easily one of the best- perfectly written with a great performance by Peter Boyle.

Season three is probably my favourite season closely followed by season four. I've always thought in terms of the amount of quality episodes this season is the best.
Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose. Love it! love it! Darin Morgin is a genius. I love his other two episodes as well War of the Coprophages and Jose Chung's From Outer Space. BRUCKMAN: Look, it's just up ahead. You know, there are worse ways to go, but I can't think of a more undignified way than autoerotic asphyxiation. (Mulder leans forward.) MULDER: Why are you telling me that? My other favourites would have to be Pusher and Paper Clip (along with Anazasi and The Blessing Way) which has to be the best Mythology of the series. __________________

Season 3 is my fave season out of all. So many changes and even more interesting stories.
I loved the episode The List, I really thought the inmates spirit was killing them people, it was freaky, yet cool how it ended up being his girlfriends lover who was doing all of the dirty work. I really disliked the headman that beat up the guy in the showers for no reason, that was just wrong, I mean seriously did he think by doing that it was going to skip him when he off'd that guy? ha, nope, no sirry bob. __________________

I love how Scully is jealous in Syzygy and WOTC as well. I love this scene: Mulder: "Bambi also has a theory I've never come across —" Scully: "Who?" Mulder: "Dr Berenbaum... Anyway her theory is —" Scully: "Her name is Bambi?" Mulder: "Yeah, both her parents were naturalists. Her theory is that UFOs are actually nocturnal insect swarms passing through electrical air fields." Scully: "Her name is Bambi?" __________________

And at the beginning when Mulder was in the car and Scully was going on and on, and then Mulder asked her to marry him. I can't remember the exact dialog though but- !

This was a real hit and miss season for me, full of extremes. Great mytharc stuff, two classic standalones (Clyde Bruckman and Jose Chung), but there were a few of my least faves in there (Grotesque was never a favourite, The Walk, The List, Syzygy) too.
High point? Pusher. Bloody classic, Robert Wisden plays Modell perfectly. __________________

Grotesque seems to be an episode where you either love it or hate. I've always liked it.
Agree with you on Pusher, awesome episode. Now for the bad episodes, what the hell were they trying to acheive with Teso dos Bichos? and Hell Money, I don't necessarily think it is a bad episode but it always leaves me scratching my head for some reason. __________________

Paper Clip was great. I loved that final moment in the hospital with Mulder and Scully. That shot of them was perfect- and seeing them both now driven to find the answers to the truths.

That's a great scene, unfortunately because of the murder of Scully's sister, she to is now fully commited to finding the "Truth". Paper Clip has always been a favourite episode of mine, it's a great conspiracy episode. It was a strength of The X-Files how they could use real life events such as WW2 and incorporate them into the conspiracy. __________________

Aww... Season three... An ambiguous season, full of extremes like PVCscully mentionned.
The high points: Paper Clip (the first episode I ever watched when I was nine or ten ), the Blessing Way, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, War of the Coprophages, Syzygy, Pusher (an all-time X-Files classic of course ), Jose Chung's From Outer Space, Quagmire and Wetwired. And then, there's Hell Money (the worst X-Files episode I ever watched during the Vancouver days) and a bunch of okay episodes and some bleh ones too. |

Man, if season 3 isn't my favorite season, it's close!!!
So many good stand alone eps in this one. Jose Chung, Clyde Bruckman, DPO, War of the Corprophages, Pusher... Good times. I guess I can forgive them for Teso Dos Bichos and Hell Money. I think Teso Dos Bichos is probably the episode I've seen the least amount of times (twice is all). Bambi? Her name is Bambi? Are you sure it wasn't a girly scream, Mulder?" __________________
