I remember the first time I saw this episode (years ago), I really laughed a lot... the case part I didn`t really care much for, I still remember it as a very funny episode
 The first image that comes to mind is Scully on her green cream mask LOL. I`m so gonna rewatch this episode tonight! My memory needs some refreshing before I can comment more on it. |

So I rewatched Arcadia last night... I really had a good time watching it despite the fact that the X-File itself was a little flat... I didn`t really care much for that part of the episode and aparently Mulder & Scully didn`t either since I didn`t really felt as they were much into the case either LOL. The case wasn`t really developed, and the problems they had writing that episode clearly show.
I had a good laugh with Mulder annoying the hell out of Scully LOL, and I honeslty count it as one of the "comedy" episodes, as someone said here, not the best of them but it was funny nontheless. I really liked the performance by Abraham Benrubi as Big Mike, I found myself concerned about that character and was sad when he died (that doesn`t happen to me often so I wanted to point it out) My fav quotes are (they are all on the funny side which is the part that I liked about the episode) Win Shroeder: We always use the dolphin-safe. Mulder: (eating) You've got to love those dolphins ... although they're pretty tasty, too. Mulder: (puts arm around Scully) Well, it's not me so much as Laura. She's quite the New-Ager. I mean, she's into those magnetic bracelets and crystals and mood rings, what have you. I mean, God bless her she's a sucker for all that stuff. Scully: (from the bathroom) Mulder, speaking of cleaning up, whoever taught you how to squeeze a tube of toothpaste? (Her arm, coming from the bathroom doorway, shows him the tube squeezed in the middle; he ignores it) Scully: Third warning: (sound of toilet seat falling) Toilet seat. (toilet flushes) Mulder: (sprawls out on the bed) Why kill Big Mike? (Scully comes out of the bathroom wearing a bright green mud mask; Mulder looks up and is startled) Whoa! Scully: What's missing here is intent. What would be the motive? (throws sweatshirt at his head) Mulder: Compulsive neatness, or a lack thereof. Have you noticed how everybody around here is obsessed with the neighborhood rules and the CC&Rs? You know what? You fit in really well here. Scully: (pointedly looking at him lying on the bed) And you don't. Mulder: (adjusting the pillows) Well, anyway, tomorrow I got a, uh, a surefire way of testing out my theory. (pats the bed beside him seductively; waggles his eyebrows at her; she raises her eyebrows; he tries coaxing) Come on, Laura, you know... we're married now. Scully: (correcting) Scully, Mulder. Good night. Mulder: (gets up and takes a pillow; pauses next to her; looks very serious) The thrill is gone. (Scully sighs) |

Arcadia's wonderful
 It's so funny and Mulder wagging his eyebrows at Scully as he lies on the bed is my favourite bit of the episode. I shouted 'Jerry from ER!' when I saw Big Mike but I loved his character __________________
