Funny little bit of trivia about season 1, Gillian has talked about how originally the network said that she always had to walk slightly behind David whenever they had scenes of the two of them walking together, instead of just walking side by side

She’s a lot more outspoken these days
 I think she really couldn’t believe that they were still trying to pull that crap and treat her as less than equal, she always used to talk about the pay disparity in terms of well it was a long time ago and David was more experienced than her when he was first cast, but then they tried to do the same thing for the revival series as well  Honestly they should have been paid the same during the classic series as well, even if David originally started on more, it should have been made equal after a certain point. They had equal screentime and storylines, and fans watched for both characters __________________

It's like that in all jobs though. Women always get paid significantly less than men and it's even worse if you're a POC.
I think it was a slap in the face that she wasn't paid the same as David considering she carried the show after he left. |

He’s in 11 of the episodes, but for many a lot of his appearances are pretty brief, I believe he negotiated to only have a certain amount of screentime?
