I can see it not being for everyone, but will never understand the intense hate this episode gets  Isn’t the main point of the show to creep you out and produce frightening monsters?__________________

 Lol who hates on it, the tweens of the fandom? I happen to think Badlaa was an excellent episode, especially what Scully said about Mulder. |

It’s been a notoriously hated episode for a long time, it’s not just a recent thing with new fandom members
 With thst tweet you see a lot of comments there about how it was too creepy or gross, but I don’t know why Badlaa is singled out in particular for being too much when viewers loved other gross episodes like The Host with the worm coming up through the sewer system  It’s one of my s8 favourites too  __________________

I'll keep my mouth shut about the people in those Twitter comments because they're the same ones who say creepy **** about Gillian yet they have the nerve to complain about this episode LOL.
I wasn't aware that TXF was supposed to be vanilla.  |
