I know Scully is immortal but why the hell is CSM still alive after all the times we thought he was toast. ?

Maybe he has the same Scully has? Why should he give this "power" to someone else and not to himself? He is one of the founders of the "elite", as Monica is a member of it. But I doubt that Scully has the same Monica has, there must be something special with her, otherwise all the others could have wonder-babies too. But they just make a great deal out of William.
And immortality is such a great word. I'm sure whatever is in her heals nearly everything, but I'm also sure that there are limits or that you even can take it away and make her mortal again.
