I always thought (and boy do I feel silly for saying this) that Mulder and Scully's bond was that of soul mates but no, apparently in Scully's previous life, she was Mulder's "father" and "army buddy". That's what got to me. Mulder and Scully aren't soul mates. Mulder and this Melissa chick are... Well, I can't even say it.

EXACTLY. The entire episode was WTF? for me. Never liked it, I was like a stubborn child, no no it can't be M/S belong together

Never Again is not so bad. I actually like that episode, cos first of all ..no I won't say anything until Hestia has seen the episode The last line of that episode

Oh please don't tell me I'm gonna be mad at Mulder AGAIN. I'm checking my DVD and it's in season four right before the supposed M/S packed Memento Mori so... yeah, I'm confused about that.

We usually seem to have the same kind of reactions to episode, so I don't know if you'll be mad at him.The episode is about Scully and like I said about the last line towards the end you see how Mulder feels about Scully. I think there is a shift in their relationship in this season. Like Scully said in an episode..

Well, it seems to me that the best relationships — the ones that last — are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is... suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with.

And hestia, The Field Where I Died is better in comparison to one other episode that I absolutely hate The end of the episode is okay...but it'a 2 parter and it almost killed me ETA: I just realised I probably shouldn't be telling you this cos you were

I totally agree with you on this Neel.
Although this is the only episode where Mulder annoyed me, but it was a necessity for Scully to (believeably) do the things she does.

It seems that when it came to aliens Scully was a skeptic, wouldn't want to believe even if she saw things with her own eyes. And when it comes to their relationship Mulder was the skeptic. He always seemed reluctant or was scared to deal with his feelings for Scully.

Thanks for understanding my childishness on the whole "soul mate" thing! To hell with Melissa (not Scully's sister but that chick with the multiple personalities) and their "past lives". For all I know, Mulder is remembering his past life all wrong. I mean he was doubtful of the Samantha abduction thing in some episode I can't recall at the moment. The guy is too gullible for his own good (she sooo tricked him somehow. It's an X-File, I say!).
Honestly, if I were in that show, I could get him to believe whatever I said by doing some simple background check on him. Maybe get a few decent connections or just ask around. I could probably get enough to claim I knew where his sister was but I'd only tell him if he jogged around the Washington Monument in nothing but his red speedo while singing the Piña Colada song! Oh yes. I would laugh, the tourists would take pictures and Scully would be wondering if he had finally snapped while trying her best not to tackle him (she's so cool like that).

I'll keep my mind open to Never Again. And Neel, what's the episode you hate? Just the title please - your explosive smilie has got me so curious!

At first I thought it was weird too, but well, I haven't seen the entire episodes to make a proper analysis But Memento Mori definitely makes up for Never Again

One of the most crucial questions was asked in 'Never again': Why does Scully not have a desk??? I mean, she's always shown coming into Mulder's office...... From where?!? Does she have an office of her own, somewhere else??? Does anyone know?

I never understood that either I actually don't understand if Scully works only with Mulder in the X-files, if she has other assigments of her own not related to any of that cause Mulder was kind of isolated there, wasn't he? So, he had his place down there, with his name and everything, so he wasn't supposed to be anywhere else, but I don't know about her but well, I've only completely seen two seasons, and it was months ago, so maybe I missed something and everything I just said doesn't make any sense

Btw, 'Never again' was an excellent epi, IMO. Especially because it showed tension between the two. Anything else would not have been believable, IMO.

Tensions is always good, I like it a lot what I didn't like was the reason for this tension, I hate to see Mulder being a jerk to Scully I hated how he talked to her, like she said, as if he were her superior or something, it really sounded like that, it was ridiculous of him
