was it the S9 dvds that were supposed to have that deleted hallway scene from the movie? or was that something else?

Hi! I was never really an avid watcher of the X Files, I only really know series 6 and 7 and even those not entirely, but the Mulder/Scully relationship has always really touched me. Whenever I watched it it was primarily to watch out for those little MSR moments, my eyes would be peeled for the slightest little sign!

Tonight I found a few clips from The Truth, although I did see it when it first aired over here (the things you do to avoid revision when you have a 9am exam the next day...), and I just fell in love with them all over again! I seriously choked up in that last scene, with the snuggling and the nuzzling and the sadness and the hope and the warm fuzzies... *sigh*

I kind of like it that you never really saw their relationship on screen. I like that they keep that mystique, it was always more fun watching for little signs anyway. It's very Mulder and Scully that you never knew, that they kept it that private. It's also great fun speculating about when they first got it on. I would say that it wasn't in "all things", for some reason I get the feeling that they were already in a relationship then. The Millenium kiss on the other hand seems very new and kind of exploratory, like they're testing it out, seeing whether "their world will end" of they step it up a notch. The tone of their relationship seems to change a lot in between Millenium and Rush as well, with the tie-fiddling and stuff, so I'm going to say it happened after Millenium.

God, why am I thinking about this and not revising?! Oh well, this is certainly a lot more fun!

Yeah, it was those dvds but I guess we weren't loud and clear enough for the survey. It was never a sure thing that we would get that scene. But we can always look in the series finale dvd. Or bother forever whoever's responsible for X-Files dvd content.

Welcome to the thread PipSqueak I agree with you about the nature of Mulder and Scully's relationship. I always loved the fact that we never saw a full on relationship on screen. Although after watching them for so many years since the beginning it can get a little fustrating, you find yourself screaming at the TV "for gods sake kiss her already"!

It's crimminal that none of us have ever seen the deleted hallway scene from the movie, they owe us that What I was also dissapointed with the DVD'S is that there are no blooper reels, I was really hoping that they were going to be on there. I think in the future (hopefully to coincide with a new movie ) they should release a special edition of the season one box set and just include anything else x files they can find, I would love it if they would actually include more interview footage of David and Gillian.

PipSqueak: Welcome to our little shipper family! And you're soo right about their relationship. It's so great because of all the UST. But it had to end with a shipper-happy-end.

I really hope they include the Hallway scene blooper in the next DVD. They own us!!

Congrats on getting season 8. The only season I own is season 6. I'd love to get more but I'm just to damn broke.

Well, I really don't know what the next DVD is going to be. But I really hope there will be something..........anything!!!! I need more XF.

I don't know how I am ever going to afford season nine, I have Season's 1-8 and I hate thinking about how much I have spent on them ahh, but then again they were worth it.

Hello again!

I was just looking on ebay at X Files dvds, out of interest, and you can buy the ENTIRE series, seasons 1-9, brand new, for $140! That's buying now, not just bidding. I have to admit I was a little bit tempted but NO! I'm a poor impoverished student, plus my friends would laugh at me and I'm not really a dedictaed enough X-phile to get all the seasons. I would quite like to have season 6 on dvd, but that seems to be quite expensive.

Do any of you know of a site where I can download episodes? My college network won't let me onto file sharing programs like Kazaa. I'm getting bored of my little clips from the The Truth now, I need more shippy goodness!

Wow, all for $140 ! Well, that's cheap. I have season 6 on DVD, it's the only season that I own but I'm quite happy with it.

lollies: Yeah, the XF DVD's are a good investment! No seriously they're totally worth it!!

Well I just took the plunge and splashed out £60 on series 6 on DVD. It was painful but I'm sure it will be worth it. I just got £60 from my holiday job which they forgot to pay me for working time-and-a-half shifts over the Easter Weekend, and for the past month I've hardly spent anything because I've been revising. Ah, who am I kidding, I have 3 weeks of parties coming up after exams, £60= 4 nights out! *sniff* Nevermind, I guess they'll make good hangover viewing....

Season six is one of my favourite seasons, it cost me a bit when I got it too but I love it, it's well worth it.
