Oh you guys are good! Lots of ideas to respond to but I don't have time right now.

But, I never thought about those Small Potatoes babies with tails growing up. And to think they grew up to also be shape shifters! We got a problem out there if thats the case! At least the original dude was put in jail so presumably halted pro-creating them!!

Something different:
We never got to know the reasons of Mulders depression. Well, we know his nature of course and that there needn't be a reason. But I have the feeling that there was a breaking point. I'm quite sure that William stayed with his grandpa all these years. What if Mulder had been knowing that? What if he knew and couldn't do anything about it? Maybe he even had to choose between mother and son. He never told Scully about that for he knew she would avoid him when knowing the truth. And that made him depressive. Mulder never talked to her about William, he grieved silently. There must be a reason...just a theory.
I personally think Mulder's depression was a long time coming event. The guy has no family, his trusted closest friends the lone gunmen are dead. He has nothing really beyond his work in the FBI and there has been so much loss over his obsession and yet the X-files never got the validation he wanted to. He is still a pariah, the files were closed as soon as they left. If someone spends half their life working for something and never pans out is only logical to become depressed. No one wants to waste a life on a pointless purpose. Add to that that the void left by their miracle child growing away from them with strangers and he only got to hold him for two days, I'm surprised the guy is not suicidal to be honest, YMMV.

It would make sense that if Scully does have an ability to mentally communicate, she probably would never figure that out, she isn't open to the idea, is she! So how would it happen!

And I'm sure concerning Mulder's depression, it must have gotten worse when Scully left him after all she could do. I'm kind of surprised Mulder is still around too, after all what happened. It's probably that he always just has that inner hope of extreme possibilities that never could fully die! You just never know when it would all finally occur and he would t ever want to miss it when the day comes.

Concerning Scully's "special powers": Leanne, that's exactly what I thought. Scully is a sceptic, had always been, it's her nature. I'm sure she has at least as much mental powers as Sveta had. Maybe even as much as William has. But she blocked them unaware in a strong way. I thing she must reach the point that "opens the door". A special event for example, something that forces the powers to come out.

Concerning Mulder's depression: Right, Mulder had always been a very strong character, but also a very weak one too. He is mentally unstable. He thought about killing himself in the past ones but the situation now is different. I'm sure his state got worse when they reached 2012 and nothing happened. He saw himself exposed to a situation in which he feared that whatever they had suffered would probably be in vain. He certainly thought his father had once again deceived him. But he did not give up, because he had to take responsibility this time. Not only for Scully but for a family. His family.
I just have the feeling that something happened while he was depressive. Something that even pressures him more. and still does.

Yeah Mulder eternal optimism is his saving grace. But he does have a 'death wish' in The truth was willing to let himself get killed if not for his friends busting him out of jail that would had been his end :/ and now he is dying because he didn't wanted to submit to Cancer Man's will. I actually have the theory that Mulder turning evil is the worst thing that could happen and will seal humanity's destruction. It is too weird that he had been kept alive by all bad guys hoping to change his mind when it will be easier just to kill him. Time will tell.

Maybe that is how she finds William? She might have a connection with him that gets triggered in the bridge Mulder dying is a good motivator for her to demolish her blocks. For all we know the ship will transport William to the bridge so she can do the transfusion. That will be a very interesting development for sure.

You can use 'spoiler tags', by spelling your text in between the following signs (WITHOUT the '*'): [sp*] Bla bla bla [/sp*]

Do we know that? I mean that William is in the ship to save his father? We forget the fact that CSM also is able to give Mulder steem cells, he is also able to save Mulder. But I'm sure that if William is with his grandfather he 'll use him as a weapon. I'm sure CSM is willing to save his son but he would want something for it. A deal...the question is which one. I'm sure William was raised by old smokey...maybe CSM is a good old grandpa to him. He 'll believe his grandpa. But Scully is his mother, they have a strong bound and maybe that's the door opener. She must try to reach him...anyway she can.

No we don't know what the deal with the ship is. I'm mostly speculating. Can't wait to see what Chris has planned. If other seasons follow the formula of the last episode of the season being a cliffhanger for a whole trilogy then something really good must be coming for us next year

I hope it's at least an end that isn't a closue, that leaves possibilities.

My personal perfect ending would be, the aliens desisting of taking over the planet, Mulder, Scully and William live together as a family and the X-files being legitimized maybe the FBI deciding to open more offices and having more agents trained my Mulder and Scully that way they would still work and discover the paranormal and keep an eye on possible alien invasions while having a good life and Mulder receiving some recognition for his life's work. No to mention that if Chris wants to continue telling stories having young agents mentored by Mulder and Scully would be the best way to go about it, IMO,YMMV.
