Fan Fiction (Doggett/Scully Category)

Oh, Can I please be added?!

Love the fan art... ♥

Veiled Vesta 07-17-2008 10:19 PM

My first addition! :yay: Of course I'll be happy to add you, m'dear! :D

You can't imagine how surprised I was to find that website with dozens of gorgeous Scully/Doggett fan arts! I was Googling and had my hopes set low but then suddenly I get the Semper Fi website and it's like wow... http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e1...gifs/Shiny.gif I picked out a handful of my favorites and resized them because they were huge! Just visit the website if you want wallpaper sized DSR art.

I think Scully brings out the awesomeness in fan artists. Mulder/Scully and Doggett/Scully... I want to make fan art as good as these but I fear I'm only half way there (at most). :pout:

I love their friendship  So add me too and those fanarts are gorgeous

Can I be added?

Even though I totally love M/S, I love these two together as well. I don't know how to explain it but these two together are fun!

Mimimich 07-18-2008 04:08 AM

A Scully and Doggett thread! :yay: Can I be added please?

I loved the scene in Alone when Scully has left for maternity leave and seconds after she leaves Harrison comes in, but he thought it was Scully coming back. Seeing his face light up like that (albeit for 2 seconds) was so sweet! :sigh:

New additions! Hooray! :pinkie: I'll be more than happy to add you all!

Oh, I'll keep a look out for that scene in Alone, Mimmich. (Think you can find a cap while I wait?) :)

I think I'll be posting little summaries of all the Doggett/Scully episodes, like I do in the MSR thread but for these two. Doggett is so different from Mulder and yet I love them both.

Aurora Cormier 07-18-2008 07:04 PM

Oh YAY!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: A Scully/Dogget thread!!!!!!!!!!! :pinkie:

I think I don't even have to ask to be added right Hestia? :D Thanks so much for opening this!

Love all the arts!! :sigh:

And Hestia, you have to add those two videos I sent you, they're both so beautiful, I loooooove those songs, "Iris" I think that song works with any ship doesn't it?? :sigh: I've never seen a video with it that wasn't good :sigh: and "Steal your heart away" I had never heard that song before, so cute! :sigh: :in_love:

I like that scene as well and wasn't he mistaken to be the father at the hospital??

Quote:

Doggett: "Agent Scully, this pregnancy leave, it is just a leave right? I mean, you are coming back eventually?" [She smiles and leaves the office. Doggett looks around the office shaking his head, he smiles as he hears the sound of woman's shoes in the hallway] "You're not gone five minutes, Agent Scully and I already I'm starting to feel like a stranger in my own off —"
I would say more about the scene, but I don't want to spoil you, there's a sweet moment just before this quote, you will like it

Hestia, thanks for adding me.:)

Isn't this in Empedocles, when Mulder takes her to the hospital and the nurse asks "are you the husband?" and he says no, and then Dogget comes and she asks him the same question?

Added you to the list, Ju plus the video links you PMd (how could I forget?) Anyway, I'm glad you came by! I was hoping you would! :D

I've been thinking I could give my thoughts on the episodes with Doggett and Scully together because I really like their interaction and if I can do the summaries for Mulder/Scully, I can do them for Doggett/Scully. Maybe this will bring more posts!

1. I liked the Doggett and Scully interaction in Patience more than the case. Even though Scully treated Doggett with a bit of disdain, he still wanted to prove how good of a partner he could be by reading all the X-Files cases. I love how he's the skeptic and she's the believer now, and later on when she finds it hard to keep up the open minded-ness, Doggett gives her a great pep-talk about taking a leap and trusting her instincts. He compares himself to Mulder but he knows he can help Scully on his own merits. There was also this nice moment when he taked to the sexist sheriff on her behalf, then later on he tried to help her when the sexist cops turned on Scully. What really got to me was how in the end, she decided to get Doggett a desk even though Mulder never got one for her (Still? Even after Bad Blood he didn't get her one? Point off for Mulder. http://i29.tinypic.com/ezny9g.jpg) Scully also thanks him for watching her back and he says it wasn't even an option of doing it or not. Aww, Doggett you're such a great cop and FBI agent! The symbolism is strong when she puts away Mulder's name plate. Doggett *is* the new Mulder! Well, for now.

2. If the previous episode made me consider shipping Doggett and Scully, this one sealed the deal. It's DSR-delicious! :D In Roadrunners, Scully ditches Doggett but realizes that with ditching, comes great danger. She gets attacked by the freaky slug worshipping cult in the middle of nowhere, and they insert the slug into her back in a horribly gross way. Despite Scully being so kick-ass, even she needs help sometimes. And that's where Doggett comes in. When he finds out Scully never made it to her destination, he sets out to find her and thanks to good old-fashioned NY cop instinct, he finds out where Scully is being kept and he totally sucker punches the guy guarding her! He unties her from the bed and takes her to the cult's bus where he sets to hot wire it (very handy kind of man ) but must stop to cut the slug out of Scully before it kills her. In the end, he wraps her in his jacket and picks her up to carry her out of the bus and away from the cultist weirdos. I love him carrying her off into the night. So mysterious and romantic. Scully does recover and she apologizes for ditching him, promising it won't happen again. Another thing she and Mulder differ on. Scully is awesome as the new believer. Doggett accepts her apology and takes her bag like a gentleman, then they leave.

3. So as I said in the MSR thread, we get some light bickering between Doggett and Scully involving a weird ghost kid. The kid seems to be evil in the beginning but by the end we find out he just came back from the dead to protect his brother from suffering the same fate he suffered all those years ago. Doggett's interrogation of the kid gets Scully's maternal feelings all jumpy but I didn't think he did too bad with the boy. We learn a little tidbit about Doggett, possibly that he has a son. I sense a Samantha-style Doggett parallel. Anyway, the two agents get a psychic and even though Doggett gets skeptical, the two listen to her recorded babbling and when Scully tapes the tape backward and plays an interesting but kind of creepy lullaby. What I like though, is that she sings along with it a bit. Aww, she's comfortable enough to sing in front of Doggett. http://i34.tinypic.com/rwqtlv.gif It must be the pregnancy hormones. If someone can send me an mp3 of that lullaby about the horses, I'll love you forever!

4. Boo... Not enough Scully and Doggett interaction! :P Redrum focuses on one guy who's caught in a time loop or something and keeps traveling backwards. We get a good amount of Doggett doing what he does best. Looks like we'll be getting optimum Doggett screen time over the next few episodes, so we can get to know the character and develop a fondness for him. Hey, mission accomplished, Carter. I like him already. At least enough to start a thread for him and my other favorite (maybe recently reformed) Skeptic. Doggett is good at playing tough cop to Scully's understanding cop, and even some snarky comments from him don't turn me off. He's a true blue NYC cop, though I don't quite understand why he seems to have a slight southern drawl. Then again, Mulder is from Massachusetts and he likes NYC sports teams. (I'd probably even like Krycek the Rat if it turned out he was from Queens)

5. Another fantastic Doggett episode with Via Negativa! A man is killing people while they sleep, and he's using the power of his third eye. We get to see Doggett's house for the first time and he has to work the X-File alone because Scully is hospitalized. Doggett is totally worried about her but she won't tell him where she is. I really like how he tried to cover for her absence with Skinner and Kersh although eventually, his frustration gets the best of him and he wants Scully working with him (awww) but Skinner doesn't allow it because he know Scully is in no condition to chase weird druggie with the third eye. The Lone Gunmen have a cameo and they definitely accept Doggett which pleases me to no end. Even though they catch the guy, it's a bit late as he seems to have gotten into Doggett's head and makes him live through his own worst nightmare; killing Scully. I love the sequence with the blue lighting when he ends up at her house and he watches her sleep. I think at one point he's about to axe her but then something inside stops him and he turns the axe on himself. Awww! :sigh: In the end, Scully is in his room and she wakes him up. He is all kinds of terrified but relieved, telling her she saved him. Scully doesn't understand the depth of those words, thinking he just had a bad dream. Something tells me his whole stint on the X-Files will seem like one long bad dream. :alien:
