[episode discussion] Air Date: January 17, 2018

Synopsis: Mulder and Scully investigate a case involving several deaths where the victims previously reported encountering their own doppelgangers. The clues lead to a pair of fraternal twins playing a dangerous game telepathically.

This sounds like a really old episode from the first few seasons

Well, Chris Carter is usually better writing stand alone MOTW than the mythology episodes so I have some hope it will be good!! The photo of the headless body is kind of EW!!!! :lol:

Yeah, it reminds me the EVE episode in first season.

Sounds like a mix between Small Potatoes and Fight Club....I remain careful due to the strange combination. ;)

I always remain cautious during a Carter episode:lol:

The critics liked it anyway, so it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be a stinker :P

Um, um, um.... I liked it :eek: it felt so “old school” X-Files!

The cold open made me feel like I was my younger self watching a new X-Files on Friday night in 1995! Also, the building the guy runs out of is a place I drive by a lot on my commute :lol:

It was spooky and M&S shippy! :love: the final scene of the episode? :D M&S snuggling in bed talking about personal life stuff! :melt: argh, I could be happy just watching DD and GA snuggling and talking together. That’s the chemistry I love between them!

And Judy and Chucky. Chucky cracked me up what a weirdo :lol: and the twisted Hangman game! And spooky moments, that will make me think about it in the back of my mind when I get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night in the dark. :eek:

And I knew Chris Carter was better writing the MOTW episode stories, that one was good! :nod:

Some fans on Twitter are saying they won’t go to sleep tonight and I can’t tell if it’s because they were creeped out by the premise or cause they are too happy about the M&S interactions which some people were calling a piece of fan fiction onscreen :lol:

Well, I’m pretty happy cause it was like an actual X-File that we all enjoyed over the series!

So that’s my happy mood review! :thumbs_up:

Oh lord that M&S stuff made it all worth it

A great episode by Chris Carter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very creepy, the brother and sister were suitably disturbing and it flowed along nicely with some funny one liners along the way.

The Mulder and Scully stuff was fantastic but it was very confusing. I shall vent about that in the shippers thread.
