True. The reason for them not invading was equally funny as it was depressing: No alien species wants to colonize a failing planet.

In one of the flashbacks we saw him with little Jeffrey, watching the (staged) moon landing on TV. There was also a woman present, supposedly CSM's wife at the time. Do we know who she was? Who was Jeffrey's mother? Did I forget, or we haven't we been told?

Ähmm...Cassandra Spender was/ is Jeffs mother.
 Carl and the women: First Teena Mulder (2 children); Cassandra Spender (1 child) and ...now Scully (one child)? NEVER! Bäh! This man is not what you call a family guy. Mulder doesn't seem to habe even one of his genes. |

I remember most of the significant arc stuff in the series. A lot of the 2 and 3 parters were edited together into movie length episodes on vhs, and I watched the hell out of them when I was a kid.

I also think we will have much more shipping moments in the next episodes. CC mentioned somewhere that they will just be platonic partners in the first episodes.
