Beware, not sure how spoilery this is, but I don’t think I’m giving too much details.
Oh man, lots of feels in that episode! (no, I didn’t cry, ) This episode does kind of make me more interested in William’s story about what his purpose is. He has a reallllly dangerous power, being able to make people see what he wants them to see. About Mulder going by ‘Bob’ at the coffee shop cause he doesn’t want to explain the ‘Fox’ thing. Just accept it, Mulder, your name is Fox, be the foxy Fox you are, Fox! Ugh, Gillian Anderson breaks my heart again whenever Scully cries, ever since Irresistible aired! ugh, I know just ugh, all the mother guilt spilled out, very heartfelt and heart wrenching, and I’m just glad things turned out that by the end there was that magical moment where both Mulder and Scully has that realization of who they were talking too, and again, GA was perfect with that look on her face. That miraculous soft smile of realization. I had a stupid moment where I was thinking “she has won an Emmy, right?’ And then a second later my brain answered ‘yeah dummy, she got Best Actress for The X-Files during 4th season??” Well, she could still do that again! I saw the volcano I live near in the background of that ship! __________________

Here is an interesting interview with James Wong. Especially interesting is the 2nd last question, third last sentence.

Great episode. Not at all what I expected.
I hope we'll get to see William again. __________________

I really liked this episode. GA should get a prize for that acting, it was fabulous!
But I'm actually worried about Mulder. Particular in this season you can see how much he loves Scully. You can see it in every look and in the way he deeply cares for her, like in Ghouli. Scully's emotional dealing is in the focus there and Mulder's focus stays constantly on Scully. What about his feelings? We just get a glimpse of it when he talked to Skinner, not more. It reminded me in his behaviour in 'founders mutation'. I feel sorry for him...he is all there for Scully instead of dealing with his own pain. And William...Mulder needed 7 years to kiss Scully for the first time and his son has two girlfriends at once at the age of 17. Honestly? |

Haha, you're right! No further questions...William is obviously Mulder's son! Who knows how Mulder had been during his teenage years and lets not forget, Mulder is freaky special (more than William in a certain way). You can't get a girl in telling her greepy UFO/ Bigfoot stories all of time. Scully was an exception and who knows how she must 'performe' in order to control the Mulderesque virility of her partner

Another fantastic episode .
Gillian knocked this one out of the park, croaky voice and all. That scene with her talking to William in the morgue caused me to get lots of things in my eyes. Sometimes I would like to see a bit more emotion from Mulder when it comes to William, but they seem to be really pushing his connection to Scully. That final scene when they were watching the security camera footage and saw it was William talking to her....ughhhh....there's those things irritating my eyes again. That was a wonderful moment. What I have really noticed about this season is how much more layed back Mulder is and his focus is now on Scully as opposed to having his own agenda. It's quite fascinating really that this show began based on Mulders journey to find 'the truth' but now, to me anyway, it's about Scully's journey, and has been since she was abducted early on. Quote of the episode from Mulder 'That's my problem with these modern day monsters. There's no chance for emotional investment" Don't want this season to end. __________________

It was kind of weird, they made it seem like it was MOTW, but it was mythology, really!
Yeah, it seems based on the bedroom decor, that William is Mulder's son with the space and alien stuff on his wall! Except William seems to be a player with females, where Mulder doesn't seem to have shown too much signs of that interest! Seems weird, ever since Scully became a mother she became a more emotional person where before in the early series, Mulder was more emotional and Scully was more outwardly stoic in things. Now Mulder is stoic, Scully is kind of all over the place! __________________

Ratings for “The X-Files” Season 11 on Fox | TVLine Last episodes ratings were not great sadly, just 0.9 in the demo I was hoping that word of mouth would see ratings gradually tick up from the premiere, but that doesn’t seem to be happening so far

I am surprised about those huge difference in ratings between S10 and S11. What changed?!?

I think that season 10 got a ton more promotion and a great time slot when it first came back, and there was all the excitement over not seeing Mulder and Scully for so many years, but even so you wouldn’t expect the ratings to have dropped as much as they have for season 11

Time slot is a good point. Wednesdays are weird...
