Because I'm posting on this board for a while now, I should probably finally say Hello. Hi I'm Susanne, I'm 48 and I'm from Germany.

I started watching the Show somewhere between 1996 and 1998. When the show first started, i didn't have cable TV and only could watch 4 TV channels

so I wasn't able to watch the X-files from the beginning. I stumbled over it by accident, a friend of mine send me an VHS with a show she thought I should watch and there were also some X-files epsiodes on it (I think it were the episodes with the Anasazi plotline). I loved it right away, so I went to the next videostore and rent all available episodes. The rest is history, I got hooked.

I finished University in 1996 and right after that I got my first internet account (still at the university, my first account at home I got 2 years later) and I spent there night after night in the internet room. And I read a lot about the X-Files there and tons of Fanfictions. I remember that I printed some of them and I always felt guilty because those fics had so many pages and it was paper of the Universitys property

I also was a member of Idealist Haeven during the last seasons but I can't remember my nickname anymore. I remember, that I went to that forum every sunday morning because someone was watching the feed from Fox to all TV stations and told people about what would happen in the next episode. Old days of Spoiling

And because of this board that I was encouraged to go to London and watch Gillians play (What the Night is for) after the Show has ended.

I wasn't a die hard shipper, more a end shipper - but I loved every shippy tidbit we got

That's amazing that you got to see Gillian perform in London!

I was a shipper the whole time through, but I loved the way the show handled the M/S relationship. It's one of my all-time favorites.
